For me it’s great that we get the change to meet up again either the pies.  So many fond memories of going to their place. Especially that cup that began with Z.  :nono:

Always had a soft spot for the Pies.

As well as that ZDS win in the rain, I have happy memories of us playing them in 93( I think), they'd just revamped the ground and Derek Pavis came on the pitch at half time to address the crowd and got drowned out by us lot singing at full pelt over him - he lost his sh1t and told us we were a 'bloody disgrace' lol I'm pretty sure that same match saw us unveil our marquee, club record transfer busting signing at 360K of Mark Blake.

We lost 4-1. Heady days.

“We hate Nottingham” echoing around the stadium to spoil his big moment. As can be predicted, by reacting he just dug the hole deeper. 😂

I'm still drying out.

The exuberance of that away end is a joy to behold

There is a video on YouTube about this (not brilliant sound quality) and one fan wants a formal apology and our old friend Cliff makes an appearance.

Yeah in some ways given i've been to see them 3 or 4 times this season i'm a bit gutted that neutral element will fade slightly lol

Having said that it'll be nice to have more of these local away days!

I was there but I don't remember that!

I remember Tony James had a nightmare and barely played for us again after that.

Winning the game of football that must hold the world record for the length of its name. Zenith Data Systems Cup Northern Section Semi-Final. The only match in history to take up 2 pages on Ceefax.

I don’t remember much about that rainy evening, other than a happy memory that me and me mate still share from time to time.

Is this the game where Richard Smith hand balled it on the line? Best save of the night

Oh I don’t remember that. I do however remember Simon Grayson juggling the ball with his hands at Tranmere in a playoff semi.

Well who needs Forest anyway when we can look forward to crossing the other side of the Trent!

Or Derby when we can go the other way off the A50 and head to Burton.

And going east on the A47 to Peterborough is definitely an improvement on west on the M69 anyway.

Shame about Northampton mind.

I wonder if Notts Forest will repay the favour and open up their ground for us to drink at before Notts County away..

Their fans will probably be out in numbers laughing their arses off at us

Yay we get to play a team in the league that Coalville Town beat in the cup.

We’ll be lucky if we’re only getting beaten by Coalville in the cup not the league in coming years….

Notts fan popping in to say hi… imagine we’re far happier to be playing you than the other way round! Last time we played was a 4-1 win for us at the Lane, in the same 93/94 season we beat Derby and the F word at home as well.
