After what we’ve endured over the past two seasons, we needed a manager who could motivate a fanbase, Russell Martin is the last guy you want when it comes to that scenario. We all knew he needed the perfect start otherwise things would get toxic, and already, here we are again.

Whether for or against possession based football, the majority of the Leicester fanbase are just tired with it. So many have wanted to see something new for many years, but this idiotic board are just too obsessed with being a poundland version of Man City.

The appointment of Russell Martin just feels like it could be the final nail in the coffin for the King Power regime. When they finally sell up, it will just epitomise the catastrophic downfall of Top’s time as owner.

And after today, I’m left more pissed off at the ownership than I am with Russell. You hire a possession based manager, yet you have numerous players who can’t play his style of football.

Part of me wants to properly judge Russell after the transfer window closes, because yet again today, the same players who have let us down over the past few years, let us down again.

Nothing changes until the likes of Souttar, Okoli, Skipp and BDCR leave this football club, but realistically, things might not change for the better until King Power sell up.

I dont think most of us are surprised. I am not even really mad at Martin. The problem is and has always been rudkin and top. They haven't got a fukin clue what they are doing.

Until they are gone, we can expect to see this shit rinse and repeat. We'll, not repeat because we are going into admin at this rate.

They sack Martin and will hire a clown (perhaps that is mean to all real clowns out there).

We need someone who has proper passion, one of the lads but someone who commands respect and gets it. We 100% need a replica of Pearson at this point.

Sack Martin, but at least have the balls to say its not his fault and squarely yours.

We wont get relegated with Martin but we wont be anywhere near promotion places IMO.

The kids deserved a clap. They made an effort. Okoli disappeared and Souter lingered at the back during the walkabout.

McCarthy was poor, but Okoli was shocking, and Souttar slower than a sedated sloth. Why put him as a target man then not boot it long to him? It made no sense.

No way are we being promoted, and relegation is possible. Need a striker and 2 centrebacks, but most of all a manager who isn't a total numpty.

Sacked by Halloween, hopefully.

No qualms with the clapping. It’s more the arrogance of letting the players take the stick rather than himself collectively with them

Above is true, no point sacking him as these clowns will have way of finding a worse clown, I think Rudkin has used his full list of clown managers, so no idea where they head next. Gary Rowett? Or a league 1 version?!

My anger ain’t at him at this point. The likes of Souttar ,Okoli, Faes, Thomas , Skipp, Choudhury and Mavididi need fecking off pronto, the fact we are three competitive games into the season and they are still here demonstrates what an absolute shit show we are behind  the scenes.

This is going down the same route as last season. We need to clear out the stench of failure from the last 3 seasons and it needs to happen this week..

Who though a manager that’s has been sacked from his last two jobs joining a team that has been relegated twice in two seasons would go well…

This is it nothing changes until these leaches are removed, I hope we can get rid of them. I’d take the hit on them, just get them out. No good come come of keeping any of them here

Until we get rid of the Chuckle brothers & this ideology of playing football the Pep way this club is on a downward spiral.

You dont have to have to be a tactically good manager to come up against a Russell Martin side. Press high, and they'll gift you opportunities.

He still has until the end of the transfer window for me. Then after that, if he hasn’t got in players to play his style and still continues with this shite football style ( which I think he will do come what may) the I’ll be firmly Martin out.

I’m thinking of starting a sweepstake with my mates, with guesses on how many goals we’ll concede this season by pissing about with the ball from goal kicks.

The starting point will be 20!!

I get that style of play is his philosophy, but when you have players that clearly cannot play that way, surely you have to adapt and not just persevere and hope for the best.

Yet another talentless fake who couldn't pick a first eleven that functions as team or has tactics that work.

Hes playing a goalkeeper who should be third choice we conceded inside 5 minutes and yet again in 25 minutes the goalie was totally useless.

He removes a Centerforward who was a target man and was involved in our goal and brings on hight challenged diver who needs a move to a none league club.

Russell needs gardening leave.

Done some stat digging.

I make it that Martin has managed just 9 wins since the start of 2024/5 season, with a lot of those wins coming in cup games.

That’s a record of;

• Southampton - 3 wins out of 19 games (vs Cardiff, Stoke & Everton*)

• Rangers -  5 wins out of 17 (vs Panathinaikos, Viktoria Plzen, Alloa, Hibernian, Livingston*)

• Leicester City - 1 win out of 3 (vs Northampton

That’s 9 wins out of 39 games.

The sides marked with a * represent a league win; so across this period there has been only 2 league wins (from 24 league fixtures).

That’s right - just 2 league wins since 17 August 2024!

That’s actually the wrong tactic and Burton showed us that yesterday.

They didn’t overly press, they just sat off and maintained shape, conceding the ball to our players that couldn’t hurt them.

Of course they pressed when a good opportunity to do so presented itself.

But by and large, they just stayed disciplined, stopped passing lines into central midfield and waited for us to turnover the ball from a poor pass before springing counterattacks in the spaces we left behind.

It felt like Burton didn’t even have to work that hard physically yesterday.

Has he gone yet?

you do feel like he's already not long for the job. Your first home game (I'm not counting Northampton with the one stand open nonsense), and after 55 minutes the crowd are already booing your decisions and chanting "you don't know what you're doing". MK Dons up next and then 3 games in a row against teams that should be in the promotion hunt this season, strongly feel like we'll be 6 games in and on 2 points maximum - his position will be untenable before the clocks change
