Cropwellfox Posted 29 August Posted 29 August If Page stays, swamp drained of another 3 or 4, and we get another 2 or 3 in, failing to get top 2 finish with this squad should completely end his career. Sadly that’ll probably mean years and years of his insipid nonsense as a pundit. 1

Wednesday 3rd 3-0 half time with more new players Yeah… I’m looking for reasons to be wrong about RM and this play out from the back madness…. tip-tap-tip-tap-slip…crap 2

Popular Post LCFCCKEANO Posted 29 August Popular Post Posted 29 August No one likes the appointment but I don’t see much point getting on his back this early on and with what is an almost entirely new team. Think we have made decent progress last few games but it does need to translate to results, but you can’t judge on that in our situation until towards the end of September for me 5

HankMarvin Posted 29 August Posted 29 August He is underperforming and if Oxford and Wednesday start trouncing teams, whilst he continues to struggle it only ends up one way

Unless he starts winning games soon he'll be gone. 12 minutes ago, Cropwellfox said: If Page stays, swamp drained of another 3 or 4, and we get another 2 or 3 in, failing to get top 2 finish with this squad should completely end his career. We'll be nowhere near top 2 come the end of this season, we've already dropped 7 points from 9 against 2 promoted teams and the relegation favourites. 1
Frankel1981 Posted 29 August Posted 29 August Sheff we’d 5 up that’s what we should be doing not this tippy tappy BS

No manager was going to get much leeway this year, but with Martin, he was never going to get any with the condemnation of him. Can't blame anyone for turning against him immediately. He needed perfection. 2 points from 3 games is diabolical
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 29 August Posted 29 August End of the day, we’re not going to sack him before we’re 10 games in; so he has a chance to show he’s making some progress for a little while yet. BUT in the meantime, it is worth highlighting how stupid it was for him to; 1.) Not insisting on getting his main striker for the season in and sorted for the start of pre-season. 2.) In the absence of above, sending the striker he had been playing the most during pre-season, Otchere, out on loan so soon. The combination of these two aspects has directly impacted the squads familiarity in attacking phases of play; and should help to explain why we don’t seem to know what to do with the ball when we get to the final third. 1
Spudulike Posted 29 August Posted 29 August I wouldn't expect him to be sacked whilst the club sale is going on. Unless it becomes a disaster such as bottom 3 by the new Year.
Cincinnati Fox Posted 29 August Posted 29 August It shit at the moment but at least he has a plan, not a plan that I think works unless you have very good players, and he may die on that hill but It looks to me like the players are behind him rowett, marti, rvn, cooper just seemed to say go and do whatever you want lads 2

Mapperleyfox Posted 29 August Posted 29 August If he lasts beyond October I’ll be staggered. No cutting edge whatsoever. It’s boring, toothless football with no end product. 2 goals in 3 games against awful opposition tells its own story…
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 29 August Posted 29 August We could drop into the relegation zone tomorrow; Wimbledon and Wigan, both below us, play each other tomorrow. Currently sat in 20th place, a win for either side would take them above us and push us below the line!
Popular Post Claudio Fannieri Posted 29 August Popular Post Posted 29 August I understand the frustrations but I think he deserves longer than this, also the squad is still very much a work in progress, there is at least another 6, 7 even 8 players who need to leave and we desperately need 3 or 4 new signings including another starting CB and a starting striker who is capable of bagging 15-20 goals this season. I am sure Martin would love the transfer business to have been done and dusted before the season kicked off but unfortunately for whatever reason, it’s going to go down to the wire on Tuesday to try and get rid of the deadwood and plug the glaring gaps in the squad…… can McCarron and Rudkin get the necessary work done in the next 3 and a half days, the clock is ticking. 5

Tuna Posted 29 August Posted 29 August Leeds started 23/24 with one point from there first three, including defeat to relegated Birmingham.
LCFCJohn Posted 29 August Posted 29 August I missed a lot of the Notts game and was busy last week and didn’t see Burton but managed to watch today. I would consider myself to not know much about tactics at all, I just look at what I saw today. Martin really needs to change his approach. We are playing so far in the opponents half, it just felt like we were so crowded in the space outside the 18 yard box but with no threat to get past the MK defence and resorted to mostly harmless potshots. Braybrooke, Page and Chaplin/Cullen were all occupying that space. Reid was deep and even Bristvic was not really playing off the last man and dropping back. You then had Watson constantly cutting in and McFarlane in the same space again. In my unknowledgeable opinion, we’d get more joy if McFarlane overlapped as Joseph tries to do. We don’t need to ‘invert’ when that area is so crowded already. Get the full back forward and on the overlap, get in the box for pull back. I can’t think of a single time I saw this happen today. It’s actually the area I thought we looked really good doing in that spell under Rodgers towards the end of 2019. He’s massively over complicating things due to his ego when things could be simplified whilst retaining the all important possession stats! 1

splinterdream Posted 29 August Posted 29 August We have so many new players in the team, and we're trying to find patterns of play, runs etc Saying that, I am concerned about our injured Chaplin who will be key and our striker probably needing a season to get the English game
