Luke Thomas, Caleb Okoli and BDCR haven't done their jobs all season and they're still in the team.....what is the idiot talking about? I'm sick of the sound of his voice.

All season? They haven't done their jobs since they signed and Thomas when he started getting into the team! That's YEARS not just this season

Just got his dig in at Russell lol  "great to see them moving the ball forward quickly, unlike teams that try to make a 1000 passes"

It's always been the prize idiots that both own and run it. We still get huge numbers home and away considering the league we're in, once we're finally sold we will have something to be optimistic about, until then it's a slog for all of us mate.

Robbie Savage is taking the piss out of us.

It wasn't too long ago he was on co comms waxing lyrical about Tielemans FA Cup final goal and us as a team.

Look like he fell out with one or two of our staff Saturday so not surprising to hear him having a dig

Thinking he's a long-term project now and that the club trust him to improve results.

Well, yes, they do.

But we don't. And we know football. More so than the bellend empty heads that are "running" our club.

Collectively we've seen decades of football at all levels, domestic, lower leagues, Europe and worldwide not just LCFC,. Most of us (I imagine) watch football because we enjoy watching and in doing so, have a decent level of knowledge of the game at all levels.

Those in control of LCFC have nowhere near our collective knowledge and they are bemused by our reactions and PoV when they appoint the likes of Marti and now the hideously poor, Russel Martin.

Did they not look back over his career failures?

Maybe they did but chose to ignore what we all knew was going to happen. Who knows why or what they saw that we didn't.

And they still don't see it.

Anyone defending RM is IMO blinkered and a bit thick in terms of what we needed. Simple minded sheep following the "way".

They like to reference how well he did at Southampton, even though they're squad we're favourable to go up automatically and got lucky to go up via the play offs.

I have defended a few of our recent managers. I thought they should have more time. My view on RM has been I am not sure the club will get rid because of financial reasons.

However, I have seen nothing to suggest we are going to be troubling the promotion or

play off places and that is a minimum we should be going for.

The squad has been overhauled and  it needs time to gel but I am very concerned we are heading to League 2. We seem to have the perfect storm Top, Jon and now Russell.

Jon says he takes his share of the responsibility but he does not. He is still here. Top won't get rid of him and is out of his depth. They are a double act of depressing and repeated ineptitude.

RM boasts about having lots of shots and we should be grateful, but they are not goals. We cannot defend. We are weak, soft centred and too nice.  We are not getting many points and we are getting beaten by some very poor teams. Wake up before it is too late. I have stopped going and fell out of love with LCFC. I never thought that day would come. I have supported the club for getting on for 50 years so have seen it bad before but not like this.

Surely with pundits fans and other managers now ridiculing him he'll change tactics or resign??

You've missed something.

He was employed because he has those tactics.

The club want those tactics.

Good post mate.

I've been one of the more positive posters so far, there was a moment where we seemed to have moved forwards in how we were attacking and it looked very much like green shoots to me.

The last game was a real eye opener.

If we can't even beat the teams at the bottom we're in real trouble .

Thanks. I hope I have got it wrong but I don't I have. I saw this coming when we got relegated from the premier league for the second time. We are sliding and fast.

We need to have a manager that we can get behind. This manager is not that. He may be a nice bloke. The players may like him. He is not there for that reason and he needs to grasp that and quick.

No chance.

Russell Martin, 2024: “I'm so proud of the players. I don't like losing but I said if we do lose, I want to do it in a way that we are proud."

He’s said something along the lines of preferring to lose playing the ‘right way’ than win playing the ‘wrong way’.

Imagine being that stubborn that you’d rather lose games than adapt your tactics. Absolutely mental.

When he first got in the team Thomas looked like a half decent prospect. He looks absolutely shot now.

He looks worse than when he came into the side. He is weak and we need some strength and a willingness to put it all on the line. A Ben Thatcher, Fuchs, Whitlow type. They would not be brushed off the ball like he was on Saturday. It happens with him quite a bit.

He is not all of our problems but is certainly a pretty consistent part of it. Souttar.and Okoli should be good enough for this league but they have not been great. We are okay at right back.

How we can sign 50 keepers and barely one of them.is any good is beyond me.

I am not a manager probably never will be but you cannot just keep signing your mates and hope they will dig you out of a massive hole. When Pearson was here he signed leaders. O'Neill had Walsh Taggart and Elliott. We need those types to get us out of this league. I don't think RM gets that at all and he does not even pretend to. His arrogance is very worryingly misplaced.

interesting reading this BBC article on Fabian Hurzeler at Brighton, particularly this part when talking about how he turned things around:

"So what is the reason for the shift in fortunes since his own fans called for his dismissal?

"It's partly because Hurzeler went back to basics," adds McCarthy.

"He relied on an experienced core in the side to get out of the hole, which is testament to him because it shows his pragmatic side. You get managers who are wedded to their philosophy and won't change.

"Hurzeler realised what he was doing was not working and that it could cost him his job, so tried something else. You can now see this is a team more in his image, because they press insanely."

I mean, it helps if you are a good manager to begin with, but still.
