Boxing Day will be interesting. Plenty from the Midlands, Yorkshire, even down to Luton to choose from.

Why do you think we'll get a local game? In recent years we've been to Ipswich, Liverpool, Man City & had Newcastle, Man city & watford at home.

In fact I can't remember when we last had anything like a local Boxing Day match.

Nailed on we get Plymouth away

I remember us playing Bournemouth on Boxing Day, in two different seasons

Football is pretty mad. Bromley fans will be absolutely buzzing about tomorrow and looking forward to seeing who they're playing.

Aside from that Billy Idol above, presumably excited for the coach trips to Blackpool and Plymouth, I can't imagine too many of our fans will be madly refreshing at midday tomorrow to find out who we've got.

I'm still suffering from split personality with this club.

The excitement of match day trips, days out, pub crawls and weekends with my mates still gives me the buzz. I'm looking forward to using the fixture dates as a 'marker' to get together as it's easier, it's not about the actual fixture itself or state we're in.

I can't give up my main passion, even if it means going out on matchday and just staying in town. So in a very strange way I am actually excited for tomorrow but it's equally depressing.

To be fair, at it's core that's why the vast majority enjoy football. It's a social activity. Don't get me wrong I'll still be checking and interested.

That makes sense though, I've probably worded it a bit poorly.

Bromley will have that buzz of the football side and seeing new teams and what they'd consider to be big teams visiting them. I remember when we first got promoted to the Prem under Pearson and I was refreshing the BBC site every day just to see us in the Premier league table haha.

Obviously if you're still off with your mates and that then you'll pinpoint certain weekends to go on the lash and watch the footie :D

I'll be doing the same for Coalville when out fixtures come out in about 3 weeks. But I'll be looking out for Ingles FC and Gornal Athletic lol

The thing is, if anyone showed this to them soon after, they probably wouldn't care and are regulars.

The three week international break will be interesting. You would imagine we will meet the threshold for a postponement but would we want three weeks without a league game?

What would be the hardest opening 3 fixtures and why?

Sheffield Wednesday away to start would be tough as they will be getting it together and our biggest rivals.

Bromley at home as they will be buzzing to play us and it's still fresh in their minds of promotion and playing in a stadium more than twice the size.

Oxford away - should be good enough for this league, and will be a tough test again. Though depends on how Ramsey does, I guess.

I like that!

For me, the three we actually get. Because our leadership remains toxic (‘we promote!’) and ludicrously overestimates the actual ability & teamwork required to sustain a promotion push over 46 games.

I’ll be surprised if we have more than 3 points from the first 3..

You are right, we want 52 weeks without a league game.
