Excuse my ignorance but we can still possibly have international breaks in league 1?

Anyone who's played football manager will know the choice is given to the club if you house a plethora of talent such as the Jamaica u21 right back or Democratic Republic Of Congo Left Winger.

If we have a certain amount of first time players away then they’ll get re arranged. Which for us is for very plausible.

Matches in League One and League Two can be postponed during international breaks due to players being selected for international matches.

The English Football League (EFL) allows clubs to postpone fixtures should they receive a sufficient number of call-ups.

At least three of players have to be selected for their country's senior, under-21, under-20 or under-19 sides in order to request a postponement.

International age group players only qualify if they have:

  • Started at least 25% of their club's matches

  • Featured in a club's previous five first-team matches

If a player is signed by a club in either late August or during the January transfer window and they then get called up, a pro rata basis is used to determine if that player is available.

A team is also allowed to request a postponement if both the first and second choice goalkeepers are called up too.

Players signed on loan also count.

So it’s not going to take a lot really.

I think you can request postponement if you have 4+ international call ups, could be wrong

The worse thing if that happens will be that all the games during that period will have to be re-arranged as yet more night games. We'll have enough of them anyway

Potentially five including both matches at Easter. Plus if we or our opponents progress reasonably far in the FA Cup.

Looking at that list of mouth-watering fixtures I got that same feeling as when we were drawn against Atletico Madrid in the quarter-finals of the Champions League.

We should be storming this league. Our first month includes two promoted teams and a team that finished lower end of the table last season. Winning the league should be the aim.

**** me this league looks awful.

looking through the fixtures and on paper we should go 46-0.

Guarantee we end up mid table though.

The club knew last night.

Generally they normally find out 6am on the morning (well that’s been the case in the past) but are under a strict embargo.

Cheers Bert,he did confirm that,to me a little while ago,but for a man whose catchphrase is” loose lips sink ships” he’s sung like a canary

We'll have less of this John. Now isn't the time to mope around and ponder about what might go wrong or what could happen.

This city created the Walkers crisp. The National Space Museum. We kept King Richard III here against all his family's will. We keep Salt and Victory crisps in every household 10 years past their sell by date. We have the Premier Inn multi coloured hotel. We have Arriva buses. Pork Pies. The tunnel where everyone beeps.

Don't tell me we are going to draw games. We are Leicester City. We are back.

Beep beep. HMS PISS THE LEAGUE IS READY TO SET SAIL AGAIN

Fair enough. Unbeaten season it is

Notts County are going to be so up for that first game aren't they.

Exact opposite of our lot.

I think everyone will be up for it against us because of our recent success and historically a bigger club than most teams in the division.

I don't like playing promoted teams on the first day though, especially away. I always think they've got something to carry over into the new season.

I predict lots of draws. Probably struggle to breakdown the defences we will face.

My predictions have been fairly positive (when compared to reality after the event) so I am slightly concerned I think we will finish upper bottom half as that will generally mean worse….

It's not as if they won't have time to organise themselves while we are still pi55ing about at the back.

Don’t forget we haven’t got a team and Rudkin is incharge
