Might as well face the impending reality that League One football will grace our club once again...

Any away days you're looking out for? New grounds?

First game is 14-16th Aug.

Carabao Cup Round One starts 7-9th Aug, draw completed same day.

Vertu Trophy also announced same day.

The opening weekend of EFL fixtures across the Championship, League One and League Two will be live on Sky Sports and Sky Sports+ and confirmed on EFL fixture release day.

By 2 July 2026, selections will be announced in respect of all live broadcast matches to be played before the end of September 2026.

By 31 July 2026 selections will be confirmed in respect of all live broadcast matches to be played up to, and including, the weekend of 8-11 January 2027.

By 6 November 2026, selections shall be announced in respect of all matches to be played up to, and including, the midweek of 2-3 March 2027.

This once again provides fans and Clubs up to five months’ notice. By selecting TV picks early and giving much more notice, fans will be able to plan with certainty when making travel and any hotel arrangements.

Selections for matches scheduled for the weekend of 5-8 March 2027 will be announced by 5 February 2027, followed by weekly announcements looking four-weeks ahead. (For example, the weekend of 12-15 March 2027 will be announced by Friday 12 February 2027).

Looking forward to visiting Valley Parade at long last. We've avoided them for the past 20 years so it's one of the bigger grounds I'm missing.

Always look forward to the fixtures being released though, regardless of division.

Those tuesday night home games against Salford and Macclesfield are really going to hit home.

15k attendance will be a regular occurrence if we're not playing well again.

Wait til the club try and hype up a home game in the Football League Trophy in November on social media lol

Sheffield Wednesday away likely not early as they have asked to play away for a few early rounds to allow work to Hillsborough.

Have they got decent owners now, then?

I'm hoping for a good date for Oxford away so I can go with my grandson who lives near there although he's a Liverpool fan through his Dad's family.

Not looking forward to any of them. I'm still fuming we're even in this mess to start with. Will look to tick off a few new grounds and enjoy the pre/post match booze up and that's about it.

If we end up winning the league i'll take no satisfaction whatsoever-it's par for what we should expect. Anything else is a disgrace.

Still pissed off we're in this league and hate the club, but it really is a class league for away days if I can find some motivation.

Peterborough, Burton, Mansfield, Notts County local.

Barnsley, Sheff Wednesday, Leyton Orient, Wimbledon and Bromley for the day out.

Plymouth and Blackpool for the weekend if they're not midweek.

I just need York to finish the 92 so them in the Vertu, or league cup away would be good. Feels destined we'll get Bromley in the league first.

What's worse is we will be told by the KPFC lot how great Rudkin is for getting us yet another league title.
