I wouldn't be surprised to see Alves and Braybrooke play as 8s, in a 4-3-3 when we have the ball with Skipp or someone similar playing as a 6.

Hamza has to fit in there somewhere, as he will be our captain this season.

Maybe as the 6 or RB.

Could still leave.

Skipp will play as Martin will want a lemming who will always make a pass back to the CB at the expense of open players and a quick drive.

Pretty common across football.

Why not just give the bloke a chance, feels like some are desperate for him to fail.

It’s not like we have found a hidden gem with some sort of 4d chess tactics that utilises the strength of players.

He is a known known.  He hasn’t came out and said he will do the opposite that has caused him to fail in recent jobs. The eye test is more than enough.

Skipp is shit even if he was free.  The point being Skipp is a brain dead footballer who always chooses the easiest pass to stink us out. This modern style of 20 passes when a player could just turn his body and continue forwards.

No but he’s shown he can get a side promoted and go on 25 game unbeaten run in the league above.

He here and that nothing going to change short term.

Like 90% of manager who have have had a job.

The eye test says he can get a side promoted.

A player that may not be here at the start of the season.

I reckon Hamza will also be our first choice right back this season. Aluko / Joseph only backup. I can't see us signing any full backs.

At least that would leave a space in midfield (along with lots of 'space' on our right, for opposition wingers to get crosses in - and allow them to face only 10 City players for a good chunk of the game!).

Assuming no leavers there’s plenty of choice between Page, Alves, Braybrook, Hamza, and Skipp. You can fashion that in to a 3, a 2, a diamond, plenty of possibilities.

Absolutely zero physicality in there. Would be incredibly soft even if we have the indignity of Hamza playing in there.

Doubtful, one will play - too lightweight for this league so suspect we will sign someone with experience and physicality

Depend on the make up of the rest of the side.

If you have physicality in other areas like the 6, CB and CF you can get away with it.

I think the idea that Braybrooke is some 7 stone weakling is way off the mark. He’s not a giant but the defensive part of his game was very good in League 2.

Saying that would like us to sign another midfielder that’s experienced with a physical presence in midfield.

Was just about to say this, was really impressed with him in the play offs when it came to winning the ball.

I don't think we'll lose any of these players unless martin decides to loan them out as I don't believe any of the Big teams view them as potential PL / money makers. Motsi seems to be the only one.

You're probably right, although if you were to pick two players from Saturdays game who are reported transfer targets,
juding by performances, you would not have picked the two first team defenders.

On a scale of 1 to 10, how much do the players hate getting asked stupid questions when they arrive for training for the Instagram page.

Especially when they’re asking the youngster who are incredibly awkward in camera

Hopefully signed +1 year and then will be flipped for a homegrown pure PSR profit like Cartwright was

Just announced he’s leaving, if this is the case then it’s good buisness!

I doubt we’d let him train with us for 2 weeks if he was delaying on a deal, he’d have been released like Popov etc.

I think the youngsters do better than the seniors tbh. Mavididi cannot be arsed.

Snap cuz I can't be arsed with him either ..

I wanna see virtually a brand new team next season .. I have no interest in watching any of those losers playing in blue again
