If he wants to go there then we need to make sure we get the money up front, don't trust Sheff Utd not to pay it. Also, he needs to be frustrated at Sheffield as they have being messing around.

What does that mean ? football clubs have to pay football debts and we’d factor the payments from the bank anyway to get our hands on the cash 1

Not many are cash upfront and all normally paid over time. So when a journalist said that a club owes 40 million on transfer fees, a lot of people presume this is clubs withholding payment rather than it being part of the agreed payment plan. 1 1

PlymouthFox Posted 9 August Posted 9 August Chris Wilder has just said in his post match interview on sky that they are making no more permanent buys this window. Loans only. 1

Previous owner - yes but all ‘football debts’ have to be paid - eventually the old owner claims he’s still owed £35m - has employed de marco. Perhaps they won’t be able to go through with any buys. Cropwellfox Posted 9 August Posted 9 August 2 years left of a £15m 5.5 year deal, you’d assume he’s not hit any milestones for additional payments as he’s barely played and we’ve been an utter embarrassment since he’s been here, so if we could get around £8m there could be a small book value profit.

Wasyls Pec Deck Posted 9 August Posted 9 August While there’s been positives to the ins and outs this summer, the fact we’re likely needing to recruit two first team centre backs just before or after the opening league game I’m afraid is not great. I appreciate the amount of activity behind clearing the swamp, but am I alone in thinking this is pretty negligent? 3

Absolutely it's negligent as is the lack of a number 9 there are no more chances it's this season or bust for Leicester City 2

Wholeheartedly agree and they've (CBs and a 9) been problems for years, not just this window. It is just absolute incompetence at this point.

Would imagine they’ve been trying to move Okoli and Faes on with no takers, and other teams know how ****ed we are so lowballing on Nelson and Souttar. Aluko, Gray and even Wilson-Brown in the squad at start of pre season so it’s understandable if completely inept.
