We paid that when his stock was high in a January transfer window desperate to stay in the Premier League. Since then he's played about 20 minutes of football for us and has probably cause irreparable damage to his ankle in the meantime. 

I think some of the early business weve done probably means we can keep either souttar or nelson. So maybe its just a case of 12m or we will hold him?

Yes don’t know if we’ll actually hold on to either of them, but it does at least put us in a stronger bargaining position you’d think now.

I think the club have shown in the past they are willing to hold on, It will come down to how much of a fuss the players make to leave. It sounds like both of them want out though

Can’t see us keeping Nelson, he is in the last year of his contract. It also wouldn’t make sense from his point of view to extend his contract given where we are.

12 mil is absolutley nothing in 2026. Inflation is a thing
