Is there any chance that without Messi and some of this ageing squad they fail to qualify next time. Please.

Make Paraguay look like bastion's of fair play

Do they get an automatic spot as part hosts ?

Don't think I've been this happy to see a team win the World Cup in my lifetime. Germany in 2014 was decent I guess, but the best bit there was obviously in the semi, the final was always going to be underwhelming after that.

This on the other hand? It's just so, so sweet because of the added Schadenfreude. Maybe I'm just a little giddy after yesterday's mad game too, but knowing we'd have probably suffered a similar fate in this game I'll take it in hindsight.
These Argie tears will sustain me until the new season.   :pearson:

I want them to qualify, so we get a chance to stuff them

Spain not winning there would've been a travesty. I've never been so glad to see another country win anything.

Argentina can go and fvck themselves, what an absolute disgrace of a performance. No attempt to play football and just an absurd level of antics.

Ref was shite too, let so much go and dismissed that goal for nothing.

Oh probably yes, tbh I hadn’t looked at where it was, presumed it was Europe’s turn.

It is mainly in Spain, Morocco and Portugal but some games in South America too .

Caught up and overtaken by both France & Spain during my lifetime.

Spain are an exceptional team, not exceptionally talented as individuals but play as a whole, with Rodri core to that.

Hopefully that's Argentina back in the doldrums for a while without Greatest of All Time™ marketing stunt out of the picture. Disgusting players seemingly playing by different regulations most of the tournament, fans very loud and into it but a racist, desperate cult mob which they rely on for their countries cultural relevancy.

Onto the home nations Euros, and then the Spanish/Moroccan/random Latin American World Cup of 96 teams. ¡Viva España!
