Turki al Sheikh has done good things for boxing  and same for snooker.

Also seems to come in and stamp personality / way of working on what his organisation do around a sport. Even if that is to Saudify it and align certain aspects of the new project to events back in his homeland.

Has a serious reputation to protect and so you imagine wouldn't mess about and be a rogue owner.

He was a rogue owner for Almeria.

They went to court because they didn't pay transfer fees.

Ask yourselves this; who in their right mind is going to shell out £200M for a third tier Club who will be out of the top tier for at least another two seasons if not longer and certainly a Club who will never repeat the efforts of the 2015/16 season?

And why does the sale include both Leicester City and Belgium's Pro League club Oud-Heverlee Leuven? Is the Belgian club being thrown into the mix to try to sweeten the bitter pill of buying the English one? (Leuven's men's team are in the top flight there, and their women's team has won the Super League titles twice in the last two seasons.)

You would be surprised, who wouldnt? Foundations are in place..

I swear some Leicester fans just under rate us compared to other teams.

I totally get what you mean but I think it’s the last 4 years or so of turmoil that the clubs gone through

However I agree with you, I think someone will look at us and think “I can get them back to where they were”

Anyone willing to pay 150/200m will have their accountant/lawyer telling them that they’re heavily overpaying. But many of those who buy football clubs do it for emotional reasons rather than hard business ones.  Tbh, if  someone out there has the dosh to take us back to where we want to be then they’ll need v deep pockets and being willing to overpay probably means they’re suitable in that respect.

those that don’t have the dosh to take us back to the promised land wouldn’t pay the 150/200 in the first place.

Would they be overpaying?

Seagrave alone has a valuation of £100m. The ground, then the old TG. Then playing staff.

The only worrying thing is the debt. If we didnt have that £150m to £200m for us is a steal.

The trouble is the debt and very low squad value will be lucky to get £120/£150m. The stadium needs a lot of work and money

Seagrave is only worth that amount to a premier league football club

I reckon if  you were selling it tomorrow you’d struggle to get 40m for it as the only buyer would be for a hotel and they’d have to spend plenty on it

The ground is worth  35/40m

I can see why they’ve asked for 200m+.  I just don’t think that businessmen will be queuing up.  But we may well have a few interested who want us because of our recent history and will pay for the name.  Just hope that we end up with someone who actually has the money to get us back not like the Portsmouth and forest (pre the fat Greek) experiences

Something is only worth what someone is willing to pay.

Who is buying seagrave for £100m?

Reasons we aren't billionaires is because we don't think like billionaires.

So trying to guess what a billionaire will pay as a normal person is crazy.

Your thinking like someone who see 200m as a lot of money, some billionaires spend that on a yacht.

You don’t get that wealthy overpaying for shite investments though. Wouldn’t be surprised if we went for 2 Harry Maguires, or less.

I’m honestly not sure why they don’t gamble on promotion now and sell later for a better price. But the faster they’re gone the better, for me.

200m is nothing to some of these people.

We dont have much debt - the macquarie stuff has been completely overblown. It's paid on receivables. The interest isn't that much compared to other clubs.

Because their cash is running out without it sinking other parts of the business. They need out pronto. Hence the inclusion of Leuven

The problem as I see it is, we all want a shrewd operator to come in and turn the ship around, but no shrewd operator is coming anywhere near us at that price point.

Yeah, the interest cost figures that are thrown out there are better thought of as transfer fee foregone to get the cash now rather than 200k/week cash going out the door I'd say.

The 53mn transfer payables should be all cleared now too (as will a chunk of the 25-28mn longer term payables) so I don't think it's as horrendous a picture as it might be from that point of view.

I think the sticking point is going to be price. The figures put out there are, and I appreciate it's an attempt by Citi to anchor it high, utterly stupid and I don't trust the owner to be willing to swallow the loss to make it saleable. I really hope it's out of his hands and sits with members of the family/KP prepared to find a deal.

We also are effectively a club without parachute payments when we are purchased though as all that is tied up, as is receiving some owed transfer fees early. So owners are going to have to inject a considerable amount of their own money on top of what they pay for us. That's why I think we go for more like £100m as will take similar again to prop us up.

If we somehow don't go up then things getting very grotty.

Not a chance we've paid the full £25m for Skipp yet, he alone probably accounts for £15m remaining.
