Staveley and her husband also have more serious money of their own. A 25% stake that Mr Lal claims will be at least 50 million, unless they are borrowing it all and will saddle us with horrendous interest payments.200 million in loans might be around 17 million a year in interest. This is the big thing we cannot afford.

Yes we certainly don’t want leveraged buyout

If Lal buys us n Fecks off Rudkin and Martin people will love him.

But I'll give it 3 months before someone on here is saying FFS get Rudkin back in.

Then that person would need sectioning.

We're a bankrupt business in all but name. We have a multi billionaire owner who's desperate to sell because he can't afford to run us. We need someone with more money then sense, that's not Lal or his mates.

Depends who his mates are?

Knighton got a position on the board and was a whisker from gaining a majority of shares in Man U . For £11 mill outlay .His backers got cold feet at the  last minute in what would have been the deal of the century . Didn’t he buy Aldershot or similar ?

Carlisle IIRC.

Sooooo, that Elon Musk guy is a top bloke. Think i can work my Canadian charm on him? Perhaps I can find a 20 year old female interested in having his baby in return for a $5 million payday and us getting a wealthy tosser (i mean amazing) owner.

Exactly. He built the misaligned stand there. The plan was to shift the whole pitch but he only managed to complete one stand then ran out of money.

If it's anybody that has grafted in a place like India to make money, they're not pissing away on us. If Lal knows some billionaire oil sheikh, then maybe.

This is a major concern. Someone borrowing against the stadium and training ground at high interest rates to raise the funds for the purchase price, placing us in huge debt. With a 200m asking price it seems the most likely way anyone will buy unless Top takes a massive reduction. How rich does someone have to be to have that kind of money kicking around in cash? There aren't many people and it's a bad time to be looking for a Arab sheikh right now as they have enough on their plate and are pulling funding from sports in Saudi in particular.

This is mildly annoying, but this Neil Lal fella is clearly so much more of a leader and businessman than Aiyawatt. You just have to listen to him for 10 mins to realise that

He also said that if it looks like we will get relegated then they are gone. That doesn't sound like a leader to me. That sounds like a chancer. A serious investor with money would still be interested even if we got relegated but would just want a lower price.

Haven't they pulled their Liv golf funding recently.

I am 100% convinced Lal would very rapidly be the biggest and last mistake in the club's history.

To be fair, Neil Lal hasn't said anything that is untrue or wrong (Apart from Leicester Football Club 🤣🤦🏻‍♂️). It's just the fact that serious business people don't go public about such matters.

He's clearly trying a PR stunt, trying to get the fans on board, by giving us sound bites he thinks we want to hear.

All we really want, is an owner to should continued interest, and has a shite load of cash backing him up.

Lal talks absolute drivel and barely coherent but let's face it, other than in text form which you'd have to really question whether he's written it himself does Top ever come across anymore clue up or articulate on how to run a football club?

We promote is about as woolly or embarrassing as this guff Lal has spouted.

Completely agree, Shrewsbury town are being taken over, the process has taken around 6 months with half that time taken up with passing the EFL owners test and getting approval from the independent football regulator, the potential new owners have passed both tests but still haven’t been revealed as to who they are

It would be just like Rudkin to take the Lai deal and give the Fans 2 fingers as he leaves.

Good job it isn’t his decision then

What happened to Redbull ?

Likely It was never on. How would Redbull's model work, past what they already have with Leeds, in light of the fact that our leagues have strict rules on ownership and name changing etc?

It can't.
