Unnamed Middle Eastern firm hold interest in buying Leicester City

It's weird how little some have analysed our 2016 success. "Was he there during the success": yeh but he had bugger all to do with it, and has dismantled a lot of the good which was built by Pearson, Walsh, and Shakespeare.

The error was in those in charge diverging from those sensible practices because they got Billy big bollocks and thought we could play with the big boys, when we should have used that excellent foundation to go along the Bournemouth, Brentford, Brighton path.

On the principle of why would someone pay more for Leicester over Middlesborough.

I think the value of a football club is based on four things.

1. Playing squad - we’ve gone from €520m in 21/22, to €60m as of today. Bonkers. Middlesborough has a more valuable squad than us. If anything as we sell players, it will drop in the immediate future. However I would

anticipate the likes of Page, Carr, Nelson etc will have breakout years and the values increase with a return to the Championship.

2. Infrastructure - we win this with ease. Stadiums are relatively similar, we are more ideally located being in the Midlands. We have one of the world’s best training facilities. Belvoir Drive if you need it, then you consider all the land we own for the stadium redevelopment.

3. Brand - again, this is in our favour, as we have a larger reach albeit we haven’t capitalised on it very well at all. You could argue you’d make the £40’lm difference back in a rebuilding Leicester documentary in a similar vein to the ones Sunderland / Wrexham have trotted out. Russell Martin would be a great front for this.

4. Future earnings potential - This is 50/50. Short term I’d suggest you’d get more from Middlesbrough, due to them being in the Championship. Longer term, with our foreign fan base, expansion potential etc, we are a better bet.

That makes sense ….. I think.

I think the one big thing we have over all similar clubs to is the unique story of winning the league, subsequent champions league campaign and then the FA cup win. It’s still a romantic story and it did and still has catapulted the club onto the world stage.

Whilst you cannot necessarily put a financial valuation on the this, it will certainly still be an attraction to potential interested parties. Owning the ‘amazing’ 5000/1 Leicester City will be fair more attractive as an overall project and in terms of recognition and reputation, over say a Middlesbrough, as often this is a dick swinging contest when it comes to these people willing to invest in professional sport.

I do think as time goes by, we’ve sort of lent so much it’s become a little bit “seriously, we are starting to sound like Forest”.

The real reach is social media really and ours is dwindling as we are in free fall.

I think we are now down in something like 125th in the world, and 10th in the UK, albeit we have the social media reach of 3 or 4 times the size of Middlesbrough.

Darren trots out every line the media have fed us. Alex Crook has been extremely critical, yet reins it in just so that he can agree with him.

Crap from Talksport.

I agree, but if you step back even a small step and look at what Leicester has achieved in 10 years, to an outsider it looks nothing short of remarkable/miraculous.

What these so called football experts don’t/can’t see is the detail. His reference to Rudkin being here throughout the success betrays his full ignorance. Rudkin was absolutely not responsible for the team than won the Premier League. We, the fans, know it was Pearson and his amazing team. Equally, we know it was Aiyatwatt’s father that is manifestly responsible for what the club achieved. Putting all that to one side and begrudgingly given the boy credit for the FA cup success doesn’t forgive his abject failures since.

We need a rich Bangladeshi to buy the club, make Choudhury full time Captain  and we'll rocket up the SM chart.

Why would anyone want to buy us. Just wait a few months we will be bankrupt then get us on the cheap

Loads of reasons. Read some prior posts for a start.

That's irrelevant to adminstration.

Administration is about our business finances, not our football finances.

No it really isn't irrelevant. You think King Power are still prepared to keep putting money in even though they are using payday loans at ridiculous interest rates and selling everything that moves to keep the clubs head above water, you are absolutely deluded.
