I'd take Bellamy's football every day of the week over Martin if you want to a coach that believes in getting it on the deck and playing it. 

 

Knows when to try and control a game and when to encourage the team to go vertical, play through the lines and be a lot faster. 

 

We play so many quick one-twos, round the corner passes etc to build up the speed of play. He's quite happy for us to risk losing it in the opposition's third if we're trying to create something.

How have we managed to sign a player even more lightweight, even less dynamic and as slow as his footballing twin Bobby Reid? Cullen was a massive downgrade on Doyle today. He tries hard but gets out paced,  out muscled and out manoeuvred. He is a better natural finisher than Reid but that’s not enough for a player that is meant to be a contributing midfielder. I certainly don’t see the point of having both Reid and Cullen on the bench. Only one or the other should ever need to be in the squad.

Other than saving Doyle for Tuesday night I couldn't see any reason for the change especially when we were on top.

 

The dynamic of the game changed with the Subs.

 

Russel took off two mobile attacking minded players for 2 slow players who offered us nothing and could have cost us the win.

 

They offer us nothing we don't already have with the younger players in the squad.

I have been so vocal about Cullen’s signing that I had to stop myself but enough is enough now.

 

When you’re signed because your mate is the boss, surely you should be better than his showings?

 

Our squad is exemplified by Cullen, weak, slow and the opposite of Klopp’s “mentality monsters”.

Seeing him come on for Doyle today who was busting his balls to try and close people down/track back… to this bum who started pulling out the famous Maddison pointing trying to get his team mates to do the dirty work he should be doing nearly pushed me over the edge today
