He was with Russell Martin at Southampton, so either Russell doesn't rate him or he didn't want to come here.

I’ve had it on good authority a fair few times that the last manager that truly trusted and utilised the scouting department was Enzo. All of the managers inbetween wanted full say in the process of selecting options and the narrowing down process. When I see comments such as “sack the scouting department” truthfully haven’t got a clue how the process works and how bad the club is in putting faith in their scouts.
