He’s had 2/3 promotions in last few years with Ipswich and he knows this league. Will work well with Chaplin. Yep he’s 32 in a few months but we need some experience as well. remember we’re a league 1 team. 1
mozartfox Posted 5 August Posted 5 August As long as Contract is not longer than 5 years, a good signing.
jonny_wright Posted 5 August Posted 5 August Another “model professional” Seems a good group of professionals with L1 experience is the strategy

Swarles Barkley Posted 5 August Posted 5 August Ipswich fans saying hes better than Mcateer which for league one will be a solid signing

Unless it's a 1 year deal and then see you later, we will again be stuck with a player we can't shift in a league he will not be able to operate in, yet again. Semper Eadem. 4

Popular Post teblin Posted 5 August Popular Post Posted 5 August We've signed a 36 year old 29 year old 27 year old 20 year old on Loan 19 year old on loan Then potentially a 23 year old striker and a 31 year old winger. Age wise thats a decent spread. We need to go up this year, he's done it at this level. I get we want loads of the young lads to play, but they will get the chance this year I'm sure. 10
Popular Post Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 5 August Popular Post Posted 5 August (edited) Feel like we've been so worn down by gargoyles like Faes, Vestergaard, Winks, Ayew etc that simply not being a dickhead (or being an "honest pro") is seen as a huge positive trait in a signing — it should be a prerequisite Edited 5 August by Miquel The Work Geordie 14
AjcW Posted 5 August Posted 5 August I knew we’d sign him one day, been waiting to have this conversation with my Bristol city mate for years Plays a starring role in his wife’s social media, both really down to earth and a good laugh to be fair!

He’s had an ACL in the matter stage of his career. His output be significantly diminished. A good functioning football club signs players with eye for the next three seasons. Not just one season and done

He’s a very good player at this level the Ipswich fans will tell you that. We’re in league 1 mate. 1

boosmanana Posted 5 August Posted 5 August He's also best pals with Conor Chaplin by the looks of it 1

We need some experience in the team for the season. Will be a good player for us this year 100%

UniFox21 Posted 5 August Posted 5 August Alves is going to get repeated knocks and niggles, we do need RW support. Carr is only a kid, won't be able to play continuously. Not a fan of the age profile etc however as isn't going to be cheap. 1

That doesn’t change subject to division Notwithstanding the reason someone like Birmingham and Wrexham did so well post League 1 promotion was they didn’t just settle for players who’d do a job in L1 Edited 5 August by CosbehFox
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 5 August Posted 5 August "We're in League One" so embrace the same tired old recruitment that landed us here in the first place, got it 2 1
