Sadly he is potentially a great footballer, ball at feet, head up, driving forward, but in the end money will decide where his future lies….

Apparently he was at Man Utd yesterday in directors box with entire family.

He will 100% be gone, his brother posting cryptic stuff on instagram.

It wouldn’t be for now, they’ll still want him

His family are long-time Man Utd fans. It wouldn’t exactly be the most surprising thing in the world if they headed up the motorway to watch the team they support on Louis Page’s day off. They probably do it all the time. If this was anywhere near close he wouldn’t have played on Saturday.

Why not?  he is not going into their first team is he?

Because if he got a serious injury it could still scupper the deal.

He didn't play like someone about to leave.

Or he didn’t play like the others who want to leave.

Maybe he’s a lot more professional than the more experienced sulkers who want out. And he’s not the reason we’re in this mess.

Maybe, in less than 39 hours we will know.

To add, his Dad is a born and raised Manc who spent his life playing non league in the region.

Well, I think after how he’s played last few games, (and doesn’t seem to be forcing anything) it is gonna take a monstrous fee for us to consider it, especially as he has 3 years left on his contract

My worry here is we still need to raise money, with the older players we want rid of hanging round like a bad smell I fear we accept late bid for him.

This simply can not be the case….

If we still needed to sell then still why and we buying players with Fees involved?

The board gamble and banked on incoming fees at a guess? Dont trust them so anything is possible.

There’s no indication we need to sell to balance the books. We may well need to raise funds/free up the wage bill in order to fund further acquisitions, but it wouldn’t make much sense to sell Page for a fraction of his likely future value and leave us significantly weakened in a key position. Page may well play for Man Utd one day, but I can’t see him going there this window unless they come in with an insane late offer.

Far too late in the window now to get in a replacement half considering the fact we still need to get rid of 4 players and get 3 in. It would be completely mental and self destructive to get rid of him so im sure he will be sold

It’s difficult to know; Nelson and Souttar seemed to be potential significant fee sales and at least one of those won’t happen, if not both.

Our rumoured budget coming into the summer window was £10 million and looking at the spend so far, we’re probably close to that.

He wasn’t at the game, his brother who is a Manchester United fan was though.
