He's been told to quickly fabricate an exchange and make it seem authentic in a second language with a camera pointed in his face...I wouldn't read much into that at all!

To be fair, a staged 'first meeting' with your boss is going to be a bit awkward on camera!

 

Martin is very David Brent esque though isn't he - Even his little look to the camera at the start to see he was being filmed

He's off to a great start. We need so, so much more of this. We've been a club full of absolutely pussies for over half a decade.

Thank **** we’ve finally signed a striker. I’m a bit nervous that he’s got no pedigree in the English leagues but the benchmark is: to be better than Jordan Ayew. Surely he can manage that low bar and then we can build from there?

 

We could do with another striker (at least) to take the pressure off this fella. There will be a lot on his shoulders given our utter desperation to just see someone play there who understands the position. 
 

Cautiously optimistic though as he isn’t Jordan Ayew, Julian Carranza, Patson Daka or Bobby DC Reid - and that’s a bloody good start!

Throw him straight in. Persevere if he’s shit. Just give him 5/6 games off the bat and see how he gets on.  I hate the slow integration nonsense… genuinely… when has a player who’s needed a slow introduction… ever actually done better?
