Mark 'expert' Lawrenson Posted 29 August Posted 29 August If we continue with our possession based game and not creating chances/scoring enough goals we will find ourselves in another relegation battle. Im expecting another defeat today.
jv1 Posted 29 August Posted 29 August Play with the pace and attacking threat they did for 65 mins on Tuesday and people will give the manager and this team the support they need and a bit of leeway on giving the ball away we do however need to get win on the board or it will start to hang over them - I’m a firm believer that if they show they can replicate the good bits from Tuesday this side could go on a very good winning run - just need to break the duck and buy them some time to keep it going with playing this way 4

It was actually so obvious that we'd look half-decent in the week. The first competitive match where a team has come onto us and not played a low block. Today will be more of the same as what we've seen in the league. 2

L1 side wont and will be all over us at the back. 2

I think currently being out of the relegation spots on goal difference puts us firmly in a relegation battle right now. is it too late to buy the best 11 players from league 1 last season that are still in league 1.To keep them from playing for the other teams as much as play for us, not that RM would play pragmatic, lump kicking team. He was a really important player for us in getting promoted in 18/19 and he replaced Paul Tisdale and changed us from a more direct style to his style very quickly, until by the end of the Behind Closed Doors season we were feeling really positive about how another summer could improve us and we were thinking of a promotion push. We then had a league cup game on a Saturday away at Bournemouth, and in the week leading up to that rumours started flowing about Swansea, and he came out and said to the fans that we needed to ignore the noise, that he didn’t want to leave us until we were established in the second tier, and that we were all looking forward to a really good season. That Bournemouth game was our first back with fans for over a year so we sold well and were all excited… until on the train down we heard that he was talking and a deal was close. That was one of the most toxic games I’ve ever been a part of really, and he was gone the next day. Our hatred really stems from betrayal. We still had a good year after he left but there will always be a sense of he abandoned us at the eleventh hour after selling us the dream. 3

Ive heard the things about his time at Rangers etc, but not really aware of further back like yourselves & subsequently Swansea. I get the feeling he can give a cracking job interview, but not perform.. We all know people that can talk themselves into any job. 1

It's not like we have to accept the latter to produce the former. No leeway from me. Unnecessary and counterproductive 1
