No point trying to find moaning points, if they are not obvious to find!

We played well, just couldn't find the finish

If that’s good then I hate to see what piss poor is gonna be like to watch this season.

Unfortunately, yes.

We have been beyond dreadful for years & that stems from the hierarchy.

Everything that we are has filtered down from them. They appoint poor managers, with poor tactics put forward to poor, unmotivated players.

We played like an above average League One side

I was hoping for better but predictable result with the manager and players we have.
We’re in relegation form so we need better.

Against the worst team I've seen in a long time. We should have beating them. It wasn't good enough, slow, boring, predictable build up and the amount of times we stood with the ball with no movement it was infuriating.

This style of football is killing the enjoyment.

Pearson team would have won that comfortably

Playing against a side who will be battling relegation I would have thought, so we would expect a better result than that.

We desperately need a striker with some pace, mobility and a little experience in the 24-28 age range. Bristric is a different sort of option, but he doesn't make the runs we need.

I agree we need a striker but I would say he would be better with Alves on the left and Howell on the right although Watson did have a lot of play doesn't seem to have brains for the final descsion yet.

positives:

no skipp, faes, okoli, choudhury, mavididi

Stolarzcyk in

McFarlane a very good left back

JJ, Braybrooke and Page looked very very good on the ball.

Howell and Alves showed touches of real class

Bristric getting up to speed.

Cons:

Look way short of goals to get top 6.

Look susceptible to anything direct as usual

Watson busy but powderpuff

Burns similar.

Need to find another attacking player from somewhere or hope Chaplins groin/hammy hasnt gone and page, alves, bristric, howell get there quickly.

Disappointing result but more encouraging IMO. Thought there was good effort shown as well in the second half which is good.

Careful being positive, you'll just upset 95% of foxestalk members. But I will say a goalscorer is desperately needed from somewhere.

It’s amazing it’s like Groundhog Day.
The opposition was probably the worst team we have played in a league match. Absolute shit but hey at least there were encouraging signs.

Thought biscuit did ok when he came on but would like to see the video of when Howell headed the ball back across the goal again if anyone has it. Looked like he was very slow to react whereas a natural goal scoring striker would have been on the move way quicker. We are a better team by far with him on the pitch I will gladly concede.

Just waiting for our esteemed manager to tell us the two young kids can't possibly play 3 games in a week and we shove a couple of journey men in there for the next game

Making football complicated against one of the worst sides we’ve played for a very long time. Every shot bar a couple was with their defence in situ, very rarely got behind them by having second or third runners

That’s the problem we are playing a very complex system, but too slow and with most of the players lacking the technique to play it.

We got 1pt against a dire MK side and could be close to the relegation zone by the end of the day, and some people are trying to spin this as positive.:dunno:

Exactly this, he was ball watching. Anticipate the knock down and he has a simple tap in.

We had a shot every 4 minutes and hit the post twice.

Question the finishing sure, but tippy-tappy wasn't the problem.

First half it definitely was. That was almost unbearable, if not shameful to watch.

Thomas was also very good. Looks a completely different player at CB.

Yea didn't do much wrong, think the new lad comes in for him though, Mcfarlene was better at LB than Thomas.

You guys were a lot better than I expected. Still a very typical Martin performance, and but for a fantastic performance from Craig in net and the defence for the most part, for all the ball it only got worrying towards the very end of the game.

You won’t like it, but based on what I saw they are some very encouraging signs.

This isn’t a chance then.....

Alright fair enough. He’s shit though and he’s  a Martin favourite.

To add to the initial point - his coaching isn’t conducive to lots of chances and selections make them even worse.

Prior to the season everybody would have been fuming with 2/9 points. Now we’re here there’s an undercurrent of “Well it’s going to take time to embed all these players…”.

What if Martin is just shit, exactly like his record suggests?

Im sorry but no wins in the first 3 games is totally and utterly unacceptable. We are in League One for christ sake, not the premier league. We are an absolute shambles.

Good signs are not enough. We are a genuinely good team full of players far too good for this level that are being stunted by this manager.

If we start Will Alves, Bristric and Howell we win that game 3 nil. The front line he started with today was devoid of any end product or ability to take on players.

His selection of Skipp over Page earlier in the season was a disaster as well.

Just too many issues that are purely of Martin's own making.
