I'm not debating that, I'm merely pointing out these players shouldn't sign contracts if they can't handle criticism whatever form it comes in.

In terms of wages and value he is probably one of our worst ever players. An absolute disgrace and the club milking the amount of time he has been here is embarrassing and a testament to their failures.

We are where we are and we need to look forward not back. We have a whole new squad of players to bed in so things won't happen overnigh. Booing the youngsters will kill their confidence. We need to get behind the team now. At least we are seeing fight and some encouraging signs. This is a new chapter for LCFC.

Spot on this ! Did people really expect us to p155 this league ? With a bunch of players who gave up 2 seasons in a row ? We’re rebuilding, could take a while.

I think the negativity is born out of frustration that it feels like nothing has changed from years of utter tripe. I was there and felt very frustrated with the way we play. Not the players, the system. I'm so happy to have so many academy players representing the club and being the best players on the pitch. That has to be a source of pride for the fans. However for me it's the system restricting them. They can play more freely but the tactics don't allow it. I'm hoping that this is just because it's a new blend of new signings and young players. But I believe if they were allowed to go more direct and the movement was better instructed, we could have beaten MK with ease. But it just felt they had the handbrake on. 

 

I didn't boo, and wouldn't but I was definitely highly frustrated. Martin is right it's years of disappointment and not winning games. Start winning and the fans will be back in side. Easier said than done. I just hope it clicks as we are certainly good enough. 

 

I didn't want Martin, but I don't want to be changing managers every 6 months, it's tiring. I hope it works for him, and he seems to have the youngsters on board.

How exactly was the team restricted on Saturday? 

You watch top end premier League teams struggle to break down low blocks and it looks similar to how we played. 

It was a good performance lacking a killer move.

Vardy had still played significantly more competitive men’s football than any of our current lot.

The one thing that a relatively fresh set of players doesn't need is brainless barracking. It's not support - it's a focus of something nasty from individuals whose issues aren't about football, but get expressed where they can get away with it. 

It's not a new thing - I recall a match I attended some time in the noughties when a bloke started to, as soon as the whistle blew, direct a stream of invective at a single player. It spoiled the game for me and, as far as I was concerned, was in no way justified - if ranting at a player can ever be justified. 

I've become chary of logging in on this forum because of being met with the hail of negativity centred on the team and individual players. 

That this negativity has spread towards fans who do applaud the team at the end of matches is symptomatic of how far this mindset is endemic now among followers of the team. Rudkin and Top I can understand being slated, but the words supporters and fans no longer apply to what's being expressed by a significant faction of people at matches and on here and other forums. 

Why do they go to matches, indeed.

Did you not see the fact we had half our team all crowded together occupying the same space much of the time? Or the lack of width on the left (not so much on the right) or the lack of movement to provide options?

I really admire anyone that can be positive, not just this season - but what we’ve had to endure over the last 5 years, we are the worst ran club in the country by a mile…. Things aren’t going to get any better until KP depart.

Going on Saturday showed to me anyway that there is nothing positive to at this club atm. MK dons were terrible on Saturday they looked almost verging a Sunday league team, and Leicester matched them in every area of the pitch. fans can be as positive as they like until they wake up and realise KP aren't finished yet and this is only going to get worse. The team and squad of players we have at the minute under this manager and coaching staff are a very average lower end League one team. Mcfarlane, Joseph, Braybrooke, and page are shining lights in a really very very poor team. there's no point in even going after the manager because we knew what we were getting before he even come. he's stubborn, tactically clueless, blind, and doesn't understand League one at all. Rodgers as much as I couldn't stand the bloke warned that if we didn't make the right signings we were going to be in trouble, he help contribute to the downfall with his signings yes, but he was right. on Saturday the players and manager deserved to be booed failing to score against a team that was basically a league 2 team last season is disgraceful. unless the hierarchy and the manager wake up change their mentally very quickly I do honestly see the club slipping into league 2 unless something changes and fast. but going on the start of this season how can anyone be positive drawing to Notts county, loosing to Burton drawing to Mk Dons this is already a disaster and its not even a month into the new season. unless we get a proven goal scorer in this league in today its going to be a long run until Christmas.

We have still been let down by a club which has failed to get any sort of recognised striker at this level through the door. But come on, to take it out on this team at the moment, 3 games in, after the more positive steps a lot of younger players have made following the errors from their experienced colleagues over the first few games? Its a joke.

 

No change is going to come now, and definitely not this early, so why not just back the young team, see what they can do when they get backed, but carry on being vocal against the chariman and Rudkin. Just give this team a chance to grow.

I will say it till I'm blue in the face....these tactics are disgusting and a disgrace. Why is it acceptable, when losing, for the makeshift CB to stop in the opposition half half his foot on the ball and stop???!!! No movement, no ideas....nothing. 

 

That isn't football. That isn't trying to get back in the game, that is tactics clearly not working???!!!!.

 

I struggled to watch that from the start. I left early as I was disgusted with what I'm seeing. No one should be positive everyone associated with the club should be embarrassed tonight.

It's been justified for years. We haven't gone far enough with it. I used to be the most optimistic fan ever. Looking back I'm embarrassed how excited I got for signings like Geoff Horsfield. That was such a dark era in the 00s but somehow King Power have made this the worst it's ever been. 

 

Yet still, some will cheer us into oblivion.
