Yawn.

There is truth in it. Who ever comes in is going to have to be comfortable dropping deep and making runs to make space for other players.

Of course, that appears to be the role of the striker in the system.

From Bristol City Forum. lol

The other posts seem to suggest they think he'll be too good for League 1 and they want us relegated again

May be sour grapes but their fans are suggesting he’s not a good bloke

I read his younger brother died in the summer by drowning in a pool on holiday, grim - he was 2!

A goal in every 4 at the level above isn’t woeful for us in League one. As long as he isn’t starting in the championship it’s a good signing to compete with Bristric for this year so we don’t have to keep using Reid or Cullen up top

Exactly......5 yr contract incoming.

I honestly think this one is another striker signing...that says look we signed someone, this guy is the exact opposite of what we need.

But will keep the dogs at arms length.

Edouard....richards...cannon...under

The list goes on.

We must be able to pull somebody else in than this guy. Clutching at straws

For goodness sake. We just got rid of two useless forwards and instantly look at another one with an abysmal goalscoring record. If this is true, we really don't learn, do we?

Just rewatched his goal v us. Blimey we were bad

The fact he gets so much space on Vestergaard when it was so clear the cross was coming in was what did it for me!

Ultimately I think it would be a good signing, if it can be a season long loan then ideal. My preferred target for the similar role was Wootton despite his age but would be happy with this.

I don't know much about him. But decent enough age, has scored goals in the division above but not prolific.

Type of forward in terms of stature we could do with, also looking at his goals he actually gets in the box which might be helpful.

STRIKER INCOMING

Leicester City are making a move for Bristol City striker Emil Riis.

Riis signed for Bristol City in 2025, where he has made 44 appearances scoring 9 goals.

Riis also played for Preston North End for 5 years during 2020-2025, where he made 172 appearances scoring 41 goals.

Martin has made is clear he wants to sign a Striker before the transfer window closes tomorrow.

Those stats are telling me he is a goal machine...............
