I don't wish the bloke any ill but he is definitely up there as one of our worst signings by value for money.

 

I still can't get my head around the fact he got in the PFA team of the season at Norwich. You do wonder what changed.

 

I've also only just realised looking at his stats that he made 70+ PL appearances for spurs. Madness really.

Aside from obviously looking five years older facially, he looks like a different bloke in every photo and video you see from his time at Norwich. I don't know if it's just how he carried himself but he looked taller and trimmer.

 

I hope he has some kind of resurgence,  does well there and manages to forge some kind of sustained Championship career because he's probably a nice bloke, doesn't come across as a blagger like most of the other lard arses we've had pass through, but everything pointed to this signing being a disaster and so it's proven. A horrid footballer. I haven't enjoyed watching him at all.

Just on paper given he is a former prem player makes him a marquee signing for them let alone the 20m fee just 2 seasons ago

I think that was during the COVID season with no crowds.

 

A certain type of player thrived in those conditions - lower intensity, didn't quite feel real. More like training than matches.

I don’t know why people would find this amusing. Nothing against Skipp personally. It hasn’t worked with us but it would be massively beneficial for us if he had a good loan and there was interest to take him permanently.
