Most of the opinions on here are atrocious, people were throwing tantrums when they thought it would be Dyche, then O’Neil saying how shit he was.

Ipswich sitting comfortably in 9th whilst we look like fodder in league one

Not even worth this thread. If and when they fire Martin, which won’t be for a good long time yet, they’ll just give it to Hourihane and step every other dickhead coach in the club up one position.

the quicker we go bust and can start to get behind a phoenix club the better.

I cannot see anyone remotely being interested at the current asking price although @Ric Flair did allude to some interest care to share more?

Fuchs with the right coaching setup could work but this club has an incredibly poor record since Enzo of sorting staff out.

Id be all for Dyche but the board won’t do it.

Dave Challinor.

Scott Parker?

Ralph Hassenhuttl?😂

Carlos Corberan is now available.

Javi Gracia.

Robbie Keane.

Paddy McCarthy.

Someone who hasn't failed in a previous role as a starting line in the sand.

RM is the new Steve Bruce, and there's been plenty over the years. It's one of the only jobs where you can completely fail, and another club says when can you start?

How about someone who hasn't failed, even if relatively raw.

Fully agree. The rumoured asking price is just another window on to what passes for business acumen on Planet Top.

I think of that list, the only one who would drop down to the third tier (let's face it for 2+ years) would be Challinor. And that would be ambitious.

I never thought I’d say this…

With where we’re currently at, a Darren Ferguson type would be my shout or someone similar -someone that has been around for years and isn’t going to be obsessed about playing this modern day academy tippy tappy football!!

We’ve got some players that in a more direct team with clearer tactics ‘could’ be effective

Riis- target man

Cullen/Chaplin- picking up second balls around him

Burns- wow he’s been pony so far, but in a team with faster ball out to the wingers so they’re 1 v 1 could be effective

Souttar- just defend, and clip it into space or up to Riis

4-4-2

McCarthy ( no playing out from the back, just up to Riis)

Aluko

Souttar

Kanga

Thomas ( I know)

Burns

Lundstram

Page

Alves

Riis

Chaplin/Cullen

Get a manager in that will allow these players to play to their strengths, just like Savage did with Peterborough yesterday

Scott Parker would at least sort out the defence

The problem is that we are completely captured by this ludicrous tippy tappy Pep ball obsession, from Top down to McCarron, we'll just appoint another Martin clone. Doesn't necessarily mean he'll be a failure, but if he can organize a defence which is our biggest issue, then things should improve. The best thing that can happen of course is King Power out, sweep it all away and start again with proper leadership who know what they are doing.

How does Aluko get a pass after yesterday is utterly beyond me

Has to be Challinor or Fuchs.

More likely to be Manning.

Other managers readily available and we might have a chance of getting

Struber

Robbie Keane

Valierian Ismael

Ruben Seles

Darren Ferguson

Ryan Mason

That’s a depressing list.
Wouldn’t be against Struber or Keane.
Don’t want any of the others but that’s where we are.

Because we’re not a Sunday league team where you can move players on after one game, in my opinion that’s his first bad half all season!
I’m not writing him off just yet

He was dreadful against Barnsley.

I don’t think you even need someone with much experience.
Look at recent successes in this league.
Skubula, Mousinho and Schumacher.
Someone who isn’t obsessed with possession stats and going nowhere with the ball would be a distinct improvement on this prat.
