Manwell Pablo Posted 15 June 2006 Posted 15 June 2006 There's the ready made excuse once again. Notice that the heat didn't make any difference to the Spanish yesterday, they still annihilated Ukraine. And a certain D. Beckham plays in the same climate as most of the Spanish team, so he has no excuses if they can perform like that. Indeed. I was merly commenting on the fact that they think it will be hot. Seeing as alot of the T&T team play in England anyway they will be in the same boat. Espically white boy Birchall. If he's from Trinidad then im Steven Appiahs brother. One could also comment on the Ukraine being even less used to the heat then us however, leading to their awful display. Alof of their players are domestically based.

Summers in Ukraine can be equally hot as in Southern Europe. They had a tough brak though, being outplayed in the first half and harshly punished further in the second can't have been good for morale. And Birchall's granny is/was Trinidadian. Apparently he didn't know he was eligible to play for T&T until recently..

But if you have to pick on him, pick on Klose, Podolski, Odonkor, Adu (not at the WC), Olisadebe (Poland, not at WC), dos Santos (Tunisia), Deco and half the French squad too...
Fez of Mahrez Posted 15 June 2006 Posted 15 June 2006 But if you have to pick on him, pick on Klose, Podolski, Odonkor, Adu (not at the WC), Olisadebe (Poland, not at WC), dos Santos (Tunisia), Deco and half the French squad too... And maybe Owen Hargreaves not that most people need an excuse?
Bert Posted 15 June 2006 Posted 15 June 2006 I'd go for the team that SystonFox posted, if we are going to play 1 up front it cannot be Owen, it needs to be someone who cn hold up the ball so our midfielders can get into the box. I think we'll win 2-0.

Well no because some of those players have lived in the countrys they represent most of their lives, Birchall probabley couldn't of pointed out Trindad out on a map a year ago.

Head Honcho Posted 15 June 2006 Posted 15 June 2006 Anyone just see the T&T fans back home on the beach Class!
Ricey Posted 15 June 2006 Posted 15 June 2006 I'm really worried about later for some reason, I can just see England being cheated out of a result I just really hope we play well, whether we win by a lot or not I just want to see a good team performance. I also want to see Rooney play some point because I'm getting fed up of all this 'will he won't he play' crap.
Monk Posted 15 June 2006 Posted 15 June 2006 I'm really worried about later for some reason, I can just see England being cheated out of a result We need one of those Collymore threads where he gets everyone to look at a picture of the goal and will the team on. Dennis Lawrence struggles with League 2 defenders, so I am hoping we at least have the talent to stretch their defence...
Master Fox Posted 15 June 2006 Posted 15 June 2006 Anyone just see the T&T fans back home on the beach Class! No, were they naked?

We'll coast it, Shaka Hislop had the game of his life, I can't see him doing the same, atleast 2 - 0!!
Thracian Posted 15 June 2006 Posted 15 June 2006 My boss is evil ( and 25 mins late this morning and counting ) and would probabley try and stop me watching the game if she could. However I work 9-4 so she can't. Ha Ha boss. ( Lets hope no one wants any cheques clearing today and I wont have to go to the post office, that will = me cutting it fine Women bosses! Do they understand anything important?
