I've seen Slumdog Millionaire yesterday at a screening in LA and I can honestly say that it's one of the best contemporary movies I've ever come across.

Tight, gripping storyline set in an exotic India, fast-paced, suspenseful and with a touch of romance. It's all you need.

Thanks to Danny Boyle. Genius.

I read a fantastic review of this the other week, really looking forward to seeing it. Glad to hear it didn't disappoint

I watched Step Brothers last night and laughed much more than I thought I was ever going to.

It didn't totally suck balls.

Adulthood, on the other hand, was a steaming great pile of shite.

Watched 'The Happening' last night.

What a pile of crap. The acting was truely awful, and the script well...I've never actually cringed during a movie because the script was sooo bad.

Plus the whole concept was ridiculous.

Dont watch it.

The Thin Red Line - dull, Dull, DUll, DULl, DULL!!!!!!

Possibly the worst war movie I have ever seen... and I've seen a lot!

EDIT: Just seen on IMDb that Mallick did The New World too, which was another bore-fest I saw recently!!

Anyone here seen the 39 steps (70's version)? Rented it before xmas thought it was an awesome story. Went to the play in London last night and it had a completely different ending!

I'm not a massive fan and Ferrall... but I watched it on the plane back from the states and couldn't help but laugh.

Best film I've seen of his.

Watched Gran Torino, Clint Eastwoods latest, tipped for Oscars etc. Cracking film, proper story at a really good pace!!!

Watched Burn After Reading, it was ok, funny in parts but highly overated!

Watched Cass aswell, a good film but nothing really new about it!!

Better than Anchorman?! I refuse to believe it.

For me there were more laugh out loud bits in Step Brothers than Anchorman... like I say i'm not a big fan of his stuff anyway.
