Flynny Posted 24 February 2008 Posted 24 February 2008 The Mercury is the most boring newspaper on the planet.
Trumpet Posted 24 February 2008 Posted 24 February 2008 As a regular user of public transport, Metro for me. Pretty much covers most of the important news.
danny. Posted 24 February 2008 Posted 24 February 2008 The Mercury is the most boring newspaper on the planet. You clearly have never read the melton times then..
lildave3 Posted 24 February 2008 Posted 24 February 2008 The Mercury is the most boring newspaper on the planet. You my friend have not seen the Coalville Times.
Flynny Posted 24 February 2008 Posted 24 February 2008 You my friend have not seen the Coalville Times. "New poll shows 40% of Coalvillians have vestigial tails"? That kind of thing? Who am I kidding? Thats not news.
DB11 Posted 24 February 2008 Posted 24 February 2008 You my friend have not seen the Coalville Times. True
Nationwider Posted 24 February 2008 Posted 24 February 2008 I don't usually buy a paper unless I'm on public transport. When I do, it's usually The Times or The Guardian. Sundays usually the Sunday Times or The Observer. For monged out & hungover Sundays on the train (ie, today), The NOTW or The People is as much as I can sensibly handle.
Tabou Posted 25 February 2008 Posted 25 February 2008 A third of this forum reads the sun? Oh dear lord. That, is a comic. Although I must admit to some mild hypocrisy. Dear Deidre is actually hillarious...
act smiley Posted 25 February 2008 Posted 25 February 2008 I only really occasionally get the paper, but its typically the Independent or very occasionally the Observer, though sometimes the Guardian if I'm feeling like a hippy that day. I see nobody's owned up to buying the Sport yet!
Alexikokopops Posted 25 February 2008 Posted 25 February 2008 The Times. Except when I'm incredibly hungover and I buy the Sun because I can't cope with proper news.
The People's Hero Posted 25 February 2008 Posted 25 February 2008 The Independent, given a choice, but I tend to read whatever my girlfriend brings home in the evening (she's a dental nurse so I get inundated with unwanted magazines and newspapers - most of the mags being about arts and crafts, 'home' furnishings or bridalwear).
Dr The Singh Posted 25 February 2008 Posted 25 February 2008 The Independent, given a choice, but I tend to read whatever my girlfriend brings home in the evening (she's a dental nurse so I get inundated with unwanted magazines and newspapers - most of the mags being about arts and crafts, 'home' furnishings or bridalwear). Is she hinting at something????
The People's Hero Posted 25 February 2008 Posted 25 February 2008 Is she hinting at something???? Not sure, but she should be aware that I don't 'do' hints!
Bellend Sebastian Posted 25 February 2008 Posted 25 February 2008 I read the Mercury every sodding day. How else would I know that Dean from Stocking Farm has been sent on an 'enhanced thinking skills' course after stealing his own son's child benefit? The Mercury is pretty bleak reading because it reports on what actually happens locally. The only light relief is on the letters page
SemperEadem Posted 2 September 2009 Posted 2 September 2009 What papers do people read? Myself - The independent - Weekdays and Saturday The Observer - Sunday
Tommy G Posted 2 September 2009 Posted 2 September 2009 FT Weekend Mail during the week if I can be arsed
StanSP Posted 2 September 2009 Posted 2 September 2009 Used to read Daily Mail mainly. Don't really read papers much these days, as most of it is available online.
Joe. Posted 2 September 2009 Posted 2 September 2009 If I bought one it'd probably be the Independent, but I don't very regularly.
James. Posted 2 September 2009 Posted 2 September 2009 The Sun. I see enough serious shit on the news, in my job, etc that I really can't be arsed to read about it in a paper as well. Give me breasts, football, reactionary nonsense and celebrities being sick on each other every time.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 2 September 2009 Posted 2 September 2009 The Times for a read, The Sun for a "browse."
James. Posted 2 September 2009 Posted 2 September 2009 The Times for a read, The Sun for a "browse." By "browse" do you mean MASSIVE WANK?
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 2 September 2009 Posted 2 September 2009 By "browse" do you mean MASSIVE WANK? DO I!>?!?!??!? <MKNHJH JDB IOH!K!HL!!L!! Quite impressed there that mashing random keys "made a face."
The Birch Posted 2 September 2009 Posted 2 September 2009 Don't buy a newspaper but I read the independent and financial times on iphone/internet.
