Was going to go watch City yesterday, but went down cricket instead. Great day and they showed plenty of battle to drag it back from 200-2 to bowl them out for 360. Shame about the easiest catching chances going down but hopefully they will look to match their total with some sensible batting today.

Richard Rae “I think it’s fair to say that Yadvinder Singh is not a good starter with bat or ball!” Priceless!!!

The usual run a ball but then out bowled

Not just by any old bowler though. Getting bowled out by Jimmy Anderson is surely a badge of honour!

Even with everyone fit we look a quality bowler short at this level.

If you add Davey and Hull to this attack then I think it becomes dangerous. Green and Holland (apart from the first morning) have bowled very well all game. This pair worked out that they just need to see them off. You wouldn’t be able to do that if we had Hull and Davey there too.

In theory yes, but you can't rely on those four all season or that Hull will get his radar right. The good thing about Van Beek last season was that he took the new ball and ran in every game, which also allowed Ben Green to bowl dry with the older ball. Hopefully Ajaz Patel will be about to control the scoring rate and take wickets when the pitches start to dry out. - I think that was the original thinking with signing Maharaj.
