Joe. Posted 1 July 2007 Posted 1 July 2007 What are Southampton doing with the money from Crouch, Walcott and Bale? Paying off debts I'd guess...
Durnerz Posted 1 July 2007 Posted 1 July 2007 Is this Southamptons way of getting us back for making them shit their pants over the Saganowski deal? What would you rather do, be the lynchpin in a team in the same region as you are currently or move 200 odd miles to one where you may be just a squad player given how Southampton are spending. I know which i'd do if I were Clemence.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 1 July 2007 Posted 1 July 2007 Against Birmingham at the Walkers Clemence was their best player. He's quite like Weso in the style he plays in (solid tackling, good distribution) and would be a brilliant buy, especially at this level.

Pete_foxes Posted 1 July 2007 Posted 1 July 2007 ffs we don't want to miss out on another player to those stripey C*nts. However they do seem a slightly more attractive proposition than us possibly.
dandannieldanok Posted 1 July 2007 Posted 1 July 2007 However they do seem a slightly more attractive proposition than us possibly. True, I would rather play alongside Rudi Skacel than any of our midfielders.
potter3 Posted 1 July 2007 Posted 1 July 2007 I'd love him, he'd probably be better than Kisnorbo And that matters why?
Joe. Posted 1 July 2007 Posted 1 July 2007 I'd love him, he'd probably be better than Kisnorbo Dannyboy's certainly back
Bryn Posted 2 July 2007 Posted 2 July 2007 True, I would rather play alongside Rudi Skacel than any of our midfielders. Hasn't Rudi Skacel been pretty shit for them?
teblin Posted 2 July 2007 Posted 2 July 2007 I know we don't post rumours from a certain site. But check it out today theres some classics
Stevosevic Posted 2 July 2007 Posted 2 July 2007 I know we don't post rumours from a certain site. But check it out today theres some classics No thanks, its a waste of time.
Geo V Posted 2 July 2007 Posted 2 July 2007 Unless MA is planning on playing Kishishev at RB, I wouldnt want Clemence to sign. We need to have some creative players in midfield to supply the ammo for our strikers and the likes of Clemence is more of a ball winner.
Toby or not Toby Posted 2 July 2007 Posted 2 July 2007 I know we don't post rumours from a certain site. But check it out today theres some classics i looked it brought a few smiles to my face, where do all these people make the rubbish up! you gotta love it
ronnup Posted 2 July 2007 Posted 2 July 2007 i looked it brought a few smiles to my face, where do all these people make the rubbish up! you gotta love it Evene though you know it's scotch mist...................... It still makes me think..... well you never know... Cruel and evil.
Toby or not Toby Posted 2 July 2007 Posted 2 July 2007 bit strange how suddenly there is loads of rumours between norwich and elvis
Leonisco Posted 2 July 2007 Posted 2 July 2007 There's absolutely no point in signing Clemence, we've got two ball-winners in midfield already.
The People's Hero Posted 2 July 2007 Posted 2 July 2007 Is this all there is to life?*sigh* There's absolutely no point in signing Clemence, we've got two ball-winners in midfield already. Are you counting Wesolowski as one of them? You know his legs are made of soft (probably foreign) cheese.
The People's Hero Posted 2 July 2007 Posted 2 July 2007 We've got Hellings as well. None of us know where he is going to play though. Actually, fu ck it. I really don't care about this. I really cannot be ar sed.
Thracian Posted 2 July 2007 Posted 2 July 2007 Unless MA is planning on playing Kishishev at RB, I wouldnt want Clemence to sign. We need to have some creative players in midfield to supply the ammo for our strikers and the likes of Clemence is more of a ball winner. It is quite possible Leicester City have forgotten what a creative midfielder is because it is so long since they've had one, and that includes Williams who was an over-hyped disappointment and not really fit to bear the name. It is so bad, and the notion that ball-winners or hasslers are the Holy Grail is so strong, that I reckon if even Davie Gibson wondrously turned up as a 21-year-old, his services would either be politely declined or they'd be grumbling that he was "alright" but spend all the time working on his tackling. We really do make life hard for ourselves. No wonder it's so long since we won anything or even looked like we could play some decent football. Apart from once-in-a-while Williams and ignoring the mainly injured Wesolowski we've had Johnson, Hughes, Jarrett, Tiatto in our central midfield. You'd probably squeeze more creativity from an amoeba than that lot.
SilverFox Posted 3 July 2007 Posted 3 July 2007 Clemence Staying I don't think we will actually be signing him but no where in that article does it actually say he is definately staying.
LCFC2007 Posted 3 July 2007 Posted 3 July 2007 Stephen Clemence is ready to quit Birmingham for Leicester after Brum rejected his pleas for a new contract. Midfield enforcer Clemence 29, was City's player of the year last term when the finished 2nd in the Championship to gain promotion.Clemence's unhappiness has reached Foxes owner Milan Mandaric who is weighing up a £500,000 bid for his services. From the mirror. This would be a good signing in my eyes as he will add more experience to the squad in the battle for promotion!!!! COME ON YOU BLUES!!!!
