I understand enough Spanish to be able to understand that there is a 'Fifty Shades of Grey' kit lol

And thank you, it will hopefully be very sedate compared to our journey on the way!

Your existing reputation has been enhanced :D

Made a big decision today after mulling things over for a week or two.

I'm leaving the car trade and going back to Amazon.

With everything that's going on in the world right now, plus the cost of living crisis, people aren't buying cars and it's severely affecting my income.

I'll be on a decent wage at Amazon and its guaranteed every week.

Never been afraid of putting some effort in instead of just sitting behind a desk.

Doing it for the right reasons to look after the family.

Not the best career move long term, but it's the sensible thing to do for now.

Still more than happy to use my insight of the motor trade to help anyone out who would like some pointers.

But look out for stray Amazon parcels chucked over your fence in the near future lol

I always say one should do what's best for one's family as well as what's best for you. Sometimes it's a difficult choice we have to make. I can imagine you would prefer to be in the motor trade but, ultimately, you have to decide what's best. Good luck.

We arrived in the Dordogne yesterday, and went out for dinner with the people whose house we're looking after for the next two weeks. Turns out that the bloke is Eddie Walsh, the linesman who flagged Eric Cantona's kung fu kick.

He had some great stories, obviously he's met pretty much the whole footballing world, and he said one of the most hospitable clubs in his time was Leicester, he has a real soft spot for us. He remembers Kasper playing with his Dad when he was a child, and spoke about how great and down to earth he is, and we had a good chat about past and current referees, and VAR.

The only low point was when his wife said she liked Dennis Wise, Eddie obviously remembers the history so we moved swiftly on, my face must have been a picture lol

All in all we had a great evening with them, they left this morning for their holiday and now we have their beautiful house to ourselves for two weeks to enjoy :)

Have fun, beautiful part of the world.

And how do you get to look after someone’s house?!

Got home from work to find out my missus has been scammed out of some money. Not a huge amount but she's absolutely distraught. When she explained it though I struggled not to laugh, it's the most obvious scam I've ever heard. Buy something online to pick up in person. Pay by bank transfer. Pay some "insurance" using bitcoin. Obviously she did it all, I mean for **** sake, how?! Having said that I once caught her trying to log into a fake PayPal site where the web address was about a mile long. Fun evening ahead.

Lol ya i get that.  Some people arent bothered but for me it's too much.  Could be worse things to find in your food of course. I dont make a big deal out of it. Just take it away and i am not paying for it. I still tip based on service its not the waitresses fault etc.

Lopped down a small plum tree yesterday and dug the stump out. They're buggers are plum (this variety anyway) they send roots out and pop up elsewhere, given the chance. Got another to do today, rather than watch us get beat by Spurs with goals from both the chuckle brothers - that just puts me in a crap mood, rather be outside.

Always creeps me out thinking someone else would be in my home...are they looking through my stuff? Are they shagging in my bed? Are they rubbing their genitalia on my clean  folded pillow cases or making spit infused ice cubes in my freezer?  Are they wearing my boxer briefs? It's endless. I recognise i have trust issues for thinking this way but mannnnnn. I Suppose growing up with 3 other brothers played a part lol

I would have to come home and clean everything.

Happy to hear it's not swinging reasons though. Clearly, it's more of a classic situation of watching eachother shag and not swinging. Who doesnt do that?

Jokes aside, is someone watching your place?  Maybe i should scroll up and read?

Haha yes I clearly don't have the same trust issues lol Our bedroom and en suite are locked, and yes we have sitters looking after our house and pets while we are here in France, but they're in the spare room! They've travelled from Ireland, so they get two weeks free accommodation in our house in Spain, while we get the same in France. All they need to do is enjoy it and look after our pets.

I get it's not for everyone, but it totally works for us and is a great way to travel while your home and pets are looked after. Obviously it helps when you choose stunning accommodation and find fab people to look after your home, which luckily we always have.

We've been to the same home in the Algarve now a few times, it's an amazing home that we couldn't afford to rent for the two or three weeks that we're there for, and we get to treat it like our second home, plus the owners have become our friends now too :)

Right,I’m in Singapore and much to the wife’s disgust I put my Leicester shorts on by the pool.

5 mins a bloke comes up and said he was a fan.Grew up in Leicester and moved to Holland, but gets a few games in.Here on business.

Give it another 5 and the lady next to my sunbed said “I noticed the Leicester shorts,my grandad was a STH for years, but died in 2014,it’s so nice to see”
