I had about £2 in my pocket which i gave her explaining that was all the cash I had on me

Probably spent that on a litre bottle of White Lightning.

I remember it used to just be an honesty box, whole place feels a bit over developed these days.

Think this is a bit of an exaggeration to be fair.

They've modernised the parking barrier, there's a cafe in the middle taking up a small bit of space and a coffee van sometimes parks at the gate.

Over developed is a bit of a stretch.

Given that there's been a significant covid/post-lockdown uptick in the amount of people going, damaging the place, dropping litter etc I imagine the cost of maintenance has gone up and the charity that runs the place looking for a few ways to up their revenue from the increased interest isn't exactly problematic.

As someone that's there moderately regularly, I can't say the Braggy experience has changed wildly. It's always been the case that you want to avoid bank holidays, the first sunny days of the year, Christmas and New Year if you don't want crowds and its always been a nicer experience if you take some alright footwear and get off the main path from NL to Swithland.

🤷

Been watching a vixen gobbling up some tasty morsels then trotting off for a bit then doing the same again ..  most likely taking it back to her den then regurgitating it for her cubs ..  after a while another fox came over and she soon saw him off  ..  now he keeps nipping in when she leaves then legging it ! ..   😁

I've tested positive for Covid.

I feel fine, just like a very mild cold and not lost my sense of taste or smell.

Work have told me to have tomorrow off and come in Monday if I still feel fine.

I know there's no restrictions, but I'm slightly uneasy with that, especially in a customer facing role.

Plus I was hoping to get a round of golf in every day next week

Me and my son were in full HD celebrating our goal on the highlights. Well I was celebrating, he was taunting the Everton fans.

I wasn't sure where to put this, but I need to get it down somewhere.

I have two sons and a daughter, and said daughter is 15. She's just confided in me tonight that she has a girlfriend.

I'm happy that she's happy, but I think I'm already going through a bit of grief that I won't possibly be a grandparent from a daughter, son's children are different and a little bit further removed.

I feel guilty for feeling like this, when I should be happy for her.

Grief is absolutely normal and perfectly understanable to feel guilty about it.

As you come to terms with it, you will learn that this comes with man many benefits as well. In the main your daughter is the same person she was before she told you...and conceivably will be a much happier person now she can be who she has always been, but repressed.

Remember she too is suffering from grief, the feelings of loss, of not being like everyone else. Sh and you will both be happier as time progresses, dontr rush it, just let the feelings balance.

I am the proud parent of a gay woman, one who knew beyond any doubtb the i would NEVER be a grandparent as she was an only child and vehemently non mothering... of course now, i am the grandparent of the worlds best human... see below.

The greatest lesson ive learnyt is that the future will be what it is... i need to spend less time wondering what might happen and more time enjoying what is.

and remember... Love is love!

Edit.. also.. please please dont suggest/question that it might just be a "phase"

You could end up getting your handicap right down.  I recovered in three days but tested positive for ten.

And those are the thoughts you need to keep shining a light on Chris.

Those are the thoughts to focus on and give your conscious awareness to.

Not the negative thoughts that cross your mind and lead you to anxiety and depression.

We can't control the 40,000 thoughts that enter our head every day, but we can decide which one's we invite to stay for dinner

Yes ..Thats the right way to find and achieve the balance.

Its also not just deciding which one's we Invite for dinner, but also contesting the odd annoying indigestion that gets through...

After 14 years fighting every new issue that slowly  took away my manouvrability with long periods of Adventure- trekking, cycling, and travelling,,,Holding  the ball up so to speak, then this last last Year having Terminal Cancer thrown at my door,One even gets fed up trying to chose who & how many stay for those dinners.

Especially when you inform your children, who have just started their own families

In the end, its also accepting, knowing & fighting to Keep giving positive thoughts to Not just the old recipes, but also pulling thoughts out to create some new recipes, where life gives you the Days to carry on partying...

My mantra, even before any dark clouds collected,

But more so now...

A new day,a New start,a new chance,a new unknown challenge, new equal shared tears & smiles to experience..

Cliche I know ,but ...Holding onto Hope does Spring eternal..

My kids know I am a fighter,But seen that dwindle at times,  my Middle daughter said something that helped..

'My Papa when Facing a bigger hole, just buys a smaller spade so he can stay & fight to stay with us'...

To me,even on those Paintfull  ( emotional or physical) days/periods & One feels like getting go....

That little spark  that Shouts hey ,"gone stays gone"   So  Hope for eternity as no  chance of being revisited..

If these words helps just one, then along the way ,it will multiply.

So far my day has turned out to be pretty bizarre. We left home this morning and just checked in to a hotel outside Zaragoza, we're en route to the Dordogne for a couple of weeks. The hotel was recommended by the people whose house we will be staying in in France. All was OK until we got into the room and found the 'Menu Exotica' lol @Mike Oxlong you'd love it, everything you think about me is not true though lol

The TV doesn't have an HDMI port, so we can't watch the game on our Firestick and so we will have to go out and find somewhere to watch it. We're just hoping that going out or returning at a certain time doesn't signify any kind of intent!

Also currently watching the Guardia carrying out a road block with a stinger in his hands out of the hotel window lol

So yes all in all a bit random, but I'm hoping this weirdness carries on to a European semi final, albeit first leg, win for us tonight :scarf:

I’m intrigued about the menu exotica but I dare not ask lol

I’m not in the police but have also been stared at by others whilst having a stinger in my hands

Enjoy your trip 👍

I understand enough Spanish to be able to understand that there is a 'Fifty Shades of Grey' kit lol

And thank you, it will hopefully be very sedate compared to our journey on the way!
