Lillehamring Posted 1 February 2008 Posted 1 February 2008 in the spirit of pointless friday threads, i'd just like to let people know that the snow today is bigger than i have ever seen in my life, i would say that some of the 'flakes' are about the size of tea bags...
Master Fox Posted 1 February 2008 Posted 1 February 2008 Boiling down south today, sun is out, got me shorts on, vest on...
Manwell Pablo Posted 1 February 2008 Posted 1 February 2008 Apparently it's going to snow here later, although it looks pretty nice outside
Lillehamring Posted 1 February 2008 Author Posted 1 February 2008 You are from Norway. but it's been crap here apart from one weekend were it snowed for 24 hours really heavily (below)....
MC Prussian Posted 1 February 2008 Posted 1 February 2008 Spring time is hitting Switzerland earlier than expected. Sunshiiine...!!! Soon I can go out swimming for lunch again.
Daggers Posted 1 February 2008 Posted 1 February 2008 The wife was warned about the 'extreme weather' due today and given a run down of emergency proceedures in place for Brum. I guess it must have covered stuff like sun cream application and drinking lots of fluids because there isn't a cloud in the sodding sky. Stupid weather - where's my bloody snow?!
James. Posted 1 February 2008 Posted 1 February 2008 Weather in this country is shit. There's wind but never a hurricane. There's rain but never a monsoon. Thre's sun but never a drought. There's snow but never a snow-in. There's thunder but never proper booming noisy thunder. There's lightning but never proper light up the sky fork lightning. The staple weather for this country is grey sky and slightly damp. It's all so mediocre. I'm going Cuba in October during peak hurricane season. I almost hope I get to see some proper weather, none of this shandy, hello sailor poncy stuff.
Raj Posted 1 February 2008 Posted 1 February 2008 The regeneration of Leicester has had to come to a stand still cos of intense weather conditions. Oh and Fosse Park has had to shut too. Leicester Railway Station(London Rd) is closed until further notice. And dont ring emergency services, cos they are closed as well BUt Mr Patels Off Licencse on St Saviours Road IS OPEN!!!
purpleronnie Posted 1 February 2008 Posted 1 February 2008 I remember as a kid snow falling every year and tonnes of it too, schools being shut etc....Now if we get any its gone the next day.
