General Smuts Posted 12 February 2008 Posted 12 February 2008 Alnwick 7 - would've been more but for the mistake for the goal Stearman 7.5 - MOM solid Kisnorbo 7.5 - Also defended briliantly, kept Henderson quiet for most of the game McAuley 7 - Did well but was relatively quiet. Chambers 6 - Is not a left back but played ok, shape was better when he was subbed Bori 6.5 - Was too quiet Oakley 6.5 - Left Clemence to do too much of the passing, should have had more impact on the game Clemence 6.5 - Very good first half, got a lot of the ball but did fook all with it, neglected the ball out to the wings too often Clapham 7 - Was always in space in the second half, should have had more of the ball Howard 6 - Didnt get any of the ball and would have got a lower mark had he not have put himself about so much towards the end Campbell 5 - Was non existent, Shittu had him in his pocket all game Subs: Zsolt 5 - Crossing was horrendous Hume 6.5 - High marks for his livelyness and ability to beat his man, is not a winger though. Hayles 6 - Little impact in the time he had
Sods Posted 12 February 2008 Posted 12 February 2008 Alnwick 7- Good lad Stearman 7. Clapham 6 Kisnorbo 7 McAuley 7 Bori 5 Run at them Bori. Clemence 5 Oakley 6 Chambers 5 Howard 5 Deej 5 subs hume 5 laczko 5 hayles 5
lildave3 Posted 12 February 2008 Posted 12 February 2008 5 is a bit harsh on DJ imo, did a hell of a lot of running and closing down for the team. Which generally, is what Hume gets his marks for.

Koke Posted 13 February 2008 Posted 13 February 2008 Shittu Vs DJ was a similar contest to you Vs Godzilla No. Him versus Me. That's a more appropiate comparison.
lildave3 Posted 13 February 2008 Posted 13 February 2008 Shittu Vs DJ was a similar contest to you Vs Godzilla Yes, i've shit on Godzille before and i'd do it again. Literally.
James. Posted 13 February 2008 Posted 13 February 2008 Alnwick 6 Stearman 7 Kisnorbo 6 McAuley 6 Chambers 5 Bori 5 Oakley 4 Clemence 4 Clapham 5 Howard 4 Campbell 6 Subs: Zsolt 5 Hume 6 Hayles 5 Leaving my journey home in the hands of Monk and ending up in Hemel Hempstead 0 Altogether a rather worrying evening. Completely failed to turn possession into any kind of chance. Devoid of ideas and spirit. Worrying.
Monk Posted 13 February 2008 Posted 13 February 2008 I don't see the point in doing player ratings for this game. That was our first 11 out there and the bottom line is that we just were not good enough. 5 for everyone, except Lazkco who deserves a slap round the head.
Bert Posted 13 February 2008 Posted 13 February 2008 Alnwick 6 - One amazing save, maybe a fook up for the goal. Stearman 6 - One of the better players McAuley 5 - New contract well earned. Kisnorbo 7 - Dealt with Henderson well. MOTM Chambers 5 - Never really got beyond Clapham. Bori 5 - Some neat touches, but that's about it. Clapham 6 - Didn't have really any defending to do, got forward well. Clem 4 - Many times, failed to pick out the right pass. Oakley 6 - Tried to make things happen, worked hard. Howard 5 - Won a few headers. DJ 6 - Done fairly well against someone twice his size, good energy, no clear chance. Lazcko 4 - Had been told to got crosses in the box, not out of the pitch. Hume 5 - Made our best chance of the 2nd half Hayles n/a
Scow Posted 13 February 2008 Posted 13 February 2008 Alnwick - 5 Awful attempt at trying to claim the free kick. Did make one cracking save from Henderson in the first half. Stearman - 5 Not much fault with his defending but his use of the ball was poor. He persists with those high, slow crosses, which so often wasted the good positions we go in to. McAuley - 4.5 Struggled to cope with the pace when Watford were on top. His use of the ball was generally diabolical. Kisnorbo - 5 Slightly better than the above. Clapham - 5.5 Offered little on the wing but looked assured at left back without actually putting any decent service in to the box. Chambers - 5 Solid and got forward well on a few occasions in the first half. Bori - 4.5 Struggled to make an impression. I can only remeber one decent cross. Oakley - 5 Tried his best to create openings but a lack of movement and quality around him didn't help. Clemence - 4 Looked fine in the first half when we passed the ball around well in patches (albeit to little effect) but his lack of urgency, vision and presence meant he was pretty crap after the break. There were a number of occasions where he had chances to spread the ball out to Clapham in good positions - instead he would often punt aimless balls in to the box. Howard - 3.5 Some nice touches but offered very little threat to Watford - particularly in the second half where he gave the ball away a lot. Campbell - 5 Looked lively and offered the pace we've badly needed. His touch was a little wayward at times and wasn't on the same wavelength as Howard. Subs: Zsolt - 3 Enjoyed plenty of space down the left but his distribution/crossing was woeful. Reluctant to take on his man. Hayles - 2 Nothing. Hume - 3 Summed it up really when he takes a shot with his weaker foot from 30 yards out that went harmlessly over the bar. Offered very little.
MC Prussian Posted 13 February 2008 Posted 13 February 2008 There is indeed a difference between the "listeners" and the "watchers": Alnwick 5 Stearman 5 Kisnorbo 5.5 McAuley 5 Chambers 4.5 Clapham 5.5 Bori 5 Oakley 5 Clemence 3 Howard 4 Campbell 4 Subs: Laczko 4 Hume 5 Hayles 4

Guest Posted 13 February 2008 Posted 13 February 2008 Alnwick 7Stearman 7 Kisnorbo 6 McAuley 6 Chambers 5 Bori 5 Oakley 4 Clemence 4 Clapham 5 Howard 5 Campbell 5 Subs: Zsolt 5 Hume 6 Hayles 5 I'm inclined to agree with you apart from the ones I've highlighted. I honestly don't know what's happened to Clem and Oakley in the middle of the park, and what was going on with Chambers at LB and Clapham on the left wing? Disappointed that we couldn't make an extra man count, but at least it wasn't as bad as saturday and we were playing the top team in the league.
Musty Posted 13 February 2008 Posted 13 February 2008 So so disappointing - sending off was the gift that we needed, but what do we do with it?? Give away a sloppy goal almost straight away and then labour so appallingly against 10 men that their goalkeeper doesnt have one meaningful save to make! Its enough to make you weep. I never really believed it till tonight but relegation is a real possibility folks! Alnwick 6 - a couple of excellent saves, and encouraging to see him finally actually playing the ball out to defenders rather than hoofing it all the time BUT if he hadn't completely missed the cross the ball wouldn't have ended up in the net and we wouldn't have lost the game. Stearman 7 - played well, good mobility, some good tackles Kisnorbo 6 - solid McAuley 6 - did his defensive duties well but still some terrible distribution...does no one ever work on this with him in training?? Chambers 6 - adequate Bori 5 - anonymous...especially in the second half before being subbed Oakley 7 MOM - the one bright spark in midfield, the only one who ever seems to be looking for a quick or cute pass Clemence 5.5 - found myself getting more and more annoyed with him as the game went on, slow and ponderous in thought and action, never looked to do anything other than the blindingly obvious - should have been hauled of for Weso in the 2nd half Clapham 6 - was solid, and pushed forward plenty in the 2nd half Howard 5.5 - lots of headers, some won some lost, put himself about without ever threatening. Too predictable. Campbell 5 - looked like a little boy lost out there most of the time, nothing really went for him and never got any change out of Shittu Subs: Zsolt 5.5 - saw plenty of the ball but crossing was all over the place and never really took his man on - one positive i suppose is his willingness to get into the box and try and get on the end of things...got himself one opportunity but blazed over Hume 6.5 - if only we could have got the ball to him more when he came on, tried to do it on his own with one great run but shot over Hayles 5 - made no impact
teblin Posted 13 February 2008 Posted 13 February 2008 Alnwick 6 - Made good saves, but that is not much use when you flap at crosses. Stearman 7 - did his job when others weren't Kisnorbo 7 - Did nothing wrong McAuley 7 - As above Chambers 6 - did ok Bori 5 - Not enough movement, needs to run at the players Oakley 7 - Tried his best to get things going, but the lack of movement in front of him made it difeicult. Clemence 5 - Have a bit of urgency man, at least 6 time where he could have plaed an early ball out wide delayed which ments the crosser was closed down. Clapham 7 - Was always in space in the second half, should have had more of the ball Howard 5.5 - Won a few header, didn't look particully bothered. Campbell 6 - didn't get one good through ball, always had his back to goal which isn't his game. Subs: Zsolt 5 - Poor delivery, seems to have no confidence. Hume 5.75 showed some urgentcy, but his decision making and final ball is awful Hayles N/A
SamL Posted 13 February 2008 Posted 13 February 2008 Alnwick 6 - Few decent saves. One mark less for the error that lead to the goal. Good lad Stearman 7 Mcauley 6 - Solid. Kisnorbo 6 See Mcauley. Chambers 5 - Adequate Clapham 5 - Tried to get in space as much as possible, out of position alot as we pushed for a goal. Oakley 7 - Nice to see him spring a few passes about. Clemence 5 - Quicker distribution needed. Bori 4 - Beat your man! Campbell 7 - Showed glimpses of his pace, played well. Howard 6 - Won a few headers, got stuck in. Subs: Zsolt 3 - Couldn't cross to save his life. Hume 6 - Made our best chance of the 2nd half. Hayles 5 - Didn't make much of an impact.

Monk Posted 13 February 2008 Posted 13 February 2008 Bloke on the train said Shittu had DJ in his pocket all night. We thought this was a hilarious comment, but it is true unfortunately.

The People's Hero Posted 13 February 2008 Posted 13 February 2008 You all care too much. Fu ck them - they're not worth it.

Durnerz Posted 13 February 2008 Posted 13 February 2008 Alnwick 6 - Bad mistake for the goal but some smart saves and takes. Stearman 7 - Assured performance. McAuley 6 - Not bad, not brilliant. Kisnorbo 6 - Caught out a few times but got back to cover himself out of position. Chambers 5 - Not a left back. Bori 4 - The most defensive winger I have ever seen, allergic to passing forward. Oakley 6 - Some decent movement and efficient with the ball but no creativity. Clemence 7 - Thought he had a cracking game, always wanting the ball, missed a couple of opportunities to pass it but was our only player with the balls to have a shot. Clapham 7 - Another impressive display, giving us the stability that Mattock couldn't yet gets forward and supports the winger. DJ 4 - Anonymous for the most part, never looked like he wanted to get in the channels and stretch Shittu for pace, looked unfit at times. Howard 3 - Absolute dog shit this bloke, never looked interested for the most part and when he tried to get involved the quality was massively lacking, drop him. SUBS: Laczko 4 - Sadly mate, i'm not on the pitch so why you were crossing to me I dont know. Hayles 1 - Just for the run onto the pitch. Hume 5 - Looked bright but never made an impact. Our fans 11 - Why so many of us go all that way on a freezing tuesday night and give great support to that bunch is beyond me, fair play.
Messi Posted 13 February 2008 Posted 13 February 2008 We played fooking shit, if we carry on playing like that we will go down...we are 5/2 to get relegated Holloway hasnt done nothing for this club at this present time 4 wins in 18 is awful. Come on Leicester we need to turn this around we have got a very good team on paper but it isnt about paper it is what they play like on the pitch and at the minute (well all of this season) it is awful. I am not saying get rid of holloway because when he took over we had all of the shit allen had signed. At least give him through the summer to get more of the players he wants and then after the first 15-20 games we can judge him properly then. KEEP THE FAITH
martyn Posted 13 February 2008 Posted 13 February 2008 I heard 3 different Watford fans say we're the worst opposition they've played all season and that we're doomed to relegation. I'm not about to argue with them...we created absolutely nothing which was an absolute disgrace Alnwick 6.5 - Solid but culpable for the goal Stearman 6.5 - Started very solidly but faded towards the end Kisnorbo 7 - Very solid all evening, looked assured McAuley 6 - Dichotomy of a player, cool and composed at time, aimless hack at times Chambers 4 - Only contribution of note was almost cretaing a goal for Watford Bori 5 - Neat touches and very promising 10 minutes at the start of the 2nd half where he played some intelligent passes BUT, he's not a winger, especially the type of winger we need. Recieves the ball and looks for a pass, never wants to run Oakley 5.5 - When he got the ball he played some nice passes.......When he got the ball Clemence 5 - Was playing ok until the 2nd half where he suddenly developed tunnel vision and refused to play it out wide to players in acres of space, preferring instead to play through balls which rolled harmlessly through to the keeper every tie Clapham 7 - Best player for us, and that's saying something. Used the ball intelligently but again, not a winger but at least he tried to get forward Howard 3 - Crap. I thought he'd be a great asset upon signing but looks like his legs are giving up. I knew he wasn't quick but I never knew he was this cumbersome Campbell 4 - Anyone can run around at pace, but his touch and distribution was woeful and lacking in any semblance of intelligence. We had no ideas up front. Laczko 3 - Lost confidence quickly after a couple of mistakes and went missing Hume 4 - That shot in the 90th minute from 35 yards when there was a 2 man overlap out wide, tosser. Hayles 3 - Nothing
