Your all so quick to have a pop and berate fryatt, no wonder the guy has no confidence! at least he doesnt have the mentaility of Dj campbell, where last season wouldnt travel with the rest of the team when he was injured.

His record speaks volumes Im afraid.

Im with Ched on this.

He will score goals not matter what division lol get out.

what and ud rather stick with our outstanding striker who got us a hat full of goal`s last season, oh no only hume got double figures last season and wait howard and campbell, well howard is a big lump and his strength is? well being a big lump and campbell well u already know how i feel about him, Id Think if we keep fryatt and play him with hume and find a midfielder who can actually pick a ball out then ull see fryatt score more goals, but you can`t just turn round and say he is poor when the rest of strikers apart from hume havent done anything either!

Can't we just pin a thread highlighting his goals record and be done with it. It's not even worth debating about.

Ok so the season when he scored 8-9 goals for us towards the end of the season where rob kelly was in charge, Did u rate him then? ever had the same opportunity to play up front with hume for the same amount of games again? and if we get rid of him who would u like to see replace him?

What makes you rate him over any other striker at the club?

Sorry I think you are mis-understanding what I am saying. When did I say any of the strikers at this club are any good? :dunno:

Is this thread about Matthew Fryatt or the other strikers at our club?

Because of what I have seen him do in the games he does play well, for some reason he has lost his way and yes he hasnt been consistent in front of goal but hasn`t exactly been the best environment for the guy to florish at the club with all the change of manager and playing in different position`s, you can`t ship and change a player who`s trade has been scoring goals and them turn him into an attacking midfielder and then tell him to play upfront again, so how can the guy get any confidence been messed around like that. Listen if you don`t rate him thats ur opinion and i accept that, hell probably leave in the summer anyway?

Are we talking about the same Fryatt whose name is chanted almost from kick off until he eventually gets onto the pitch to a hero's welcome like he's the Saviour, or a different Fryatt?

Du du du du....Fatty Fryatt!!!

He's shit

Hes been shit for us

Fat twat.

No, that's Matty Fryatt. We are talking about Matthew Fryatt here :unsure::cool:

Keep him, at this level he should be decent. I think he needs to get a good run of games under his belt and he'll be fine, you'll all be eating your words if he shoots us to promotion!

I really do not care.

Fryatt's career has stagnated since he has come here for whatever reason. He had a purple patch the season we signed him at both League One and then the Championship. Whether that indeed was just a one off or he's capable of re-discovering that form is something we've discussed to death on here. If we get any offer for him that doesn't involve us having to pay him off then get rid. Likewise for some other of our players.

I'd keep him for this season at least, as I think he can do us a favour up front this time around.

He's clearly not made for Championship level (or above).

Ideally, we'll have him help us getting promoted, et puis we sell him to the highest bidder - and some good offers would certainly be around by then.

DER, DER, DER, MATTY FRYATT!

He's not had the best of times here, I think if we can get some cashback then it may be in the best interest of both parties if he leaves!!

Ican't beleieve we didn't sell him for 900k last summer when we had the chance.

The guy has had SO many chances to prove his worth. Confidence is one thing but to have such a poor record for so long and being part of the core reason we got relegated (i.e lack of scoring goals, obviously not entirely his fault at all).

I just think, get rid. Even if he could pick up his form I think both parties would be better off making a fresh start,

I want to be Matt Fryatt in my next life, you can be crap at your job for 2 years and people still loves you.....

I think a loan deal would do the club no harm at all in assessing whther Fryatt's worth keeping hold of. His goalscoring record (in the lower leagues) isn't to bad, and I think a loan out to a team where he might score goals would only boost his confidence. The deal would be until January. If he bags a few goals, we bring him back, we have a new, confident Fryatt. If he doesn't score any, we try and find a suitor for him and flog him in the January transfer window.

Either way, the club wins. The key to being good striker is confidence, and I don't see what harm a loan deal would do.

Flog him like the tired old horse that he is...he's nothing to us anymore [ 43 ] ** [24.71%]

He'll be dynamite in front of goal, there'll be defensive casualties all over League 1 [ 78 ] ** [44.83%]

Actually, I hold no firm opinion about Matthew Fryatt one way or the other [ 53 ] ** [30.46%]

How come 90% of posts on here are slagging Fryatt off yet there are nearly twice as many people voting that he'll be dynamite next season than saying he's a tired old horse?

Because the only argument for him to stay is that he can finally come good in League 1. All the stats just make him look an embarrasment.

Didn't Fryatt also play quite a lot of games on the wing as well last season?

Not that, that excuses his missesat all, also people were willing to give MDV another chance lol, so if Fryatt can actually build some strength or speed I think he could be an assett.

It's probably best not to combine alcohol and Matty Fryatt chants.
