He's not bald Posted 2 August 2008 Posted 2 August 2008 Fine... if you think that he'd be any good then stick to your deluded idea that he'd be the same Dickov we used to watch... I for one am not holding my breath if he does finally make his mind up about who is going to give him the most per week. That's the problem...there has been far too many journeymen at this club..we don't need Dickov and if he comes here it will only be for the dosh!
Tevez Posted 2 August 2008 Posted 2 August 2008 Hey lads..errm nothing is concrete it seems, I believe he is faffing about in favour of who gives hiom the biggest wad of cash. Cheers lads It's not big, It's not clever and your certainly not very funny.

I for one am not holding my breath if he does finally make his mind up about who is going to give him the most per week. Um..... if you actually read my first post all i said is that you cant fault him for his effort - the delusion is clearly with you for thinking i said anything else!
FilboFox Posted 3 August 2008 Posted 3 August 2008 Um..... if you actually read my first post all i said is that you cant fault him for his effort - the delusion is clearly with you for thinking i said anything else! No, you said that you could never accuse Dickov of not putting in the effort when I had said that should he come here, he wouldn't put the effort in. That is therefore just the start of this entire argument. I'm hardly deluded for thinking that you seem to be sticking up for the idea that Dickov would come here and put in as much effort as he did last time he was at the Walkers now am I? All I'm saying is that I think he's past it, is looking for his last pay check and wouldn't be any good here this time round... but would love to be proved wrong if he does come.
dandannieldanok Posted 3 August 2008 Posted 3 August 2008 Is he still deliberating, it's beginning to take the piss. You could forgive him a week's extra mulling over because he has an offer from across the Atlantic but this is ridiculous now.
Bellend Sebastian Posted 5 August 2008 Posted 5 August 2008 I heard last night that this is definitely off, but the bloke that told me refused to confirm his source, although he did say that the reports of interest in Robbie Savage are genuine. It could all be COMPLETE BOLLOCKS of course, I'm just relaying what I heard. Personally, I cannot see Savage coming back anymore than I can Dickov
Noble101 Posted 5 August 2008 Posted 5 August 2008 I am under the impression the negotiations with Dickov are ongoing, let see what happens before the end of the week.
lookwhaticando Posted 5 August 2008 Posted 5 August 2008 I am under the impression the negotiations with Dickov are ongoing, let see what happens before the end of the week. I am under the impression he should make his mind up and just fuck off.

Simi Posted 5 August 2008 Posted 5 August 2008 Got my dinner at half 6. Hope something happens before then.
Tevez Posted 5 August 2008 Posted 5 August 2008 £££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££
Thracian Posted 5 August 2008 Posted 5 August 2008 At least I understand the reason we might be chasing Paul Dickov - this problem of having no front post attackers or genuine goal poachers. But what's the point in Savage? As I've said elsewhere he was always a limited player even at his best and I just don't see where he'd fit into the current team and improve it one iota. Compared with some of the pass-and-move footballers we've got now he'd be clumsy as a one-legged waiter in an earthquake. Yet Mandaric has been on the radio to give the rumour clearance and, after all the good work of pre-season, why? The last thing we need is floating extras. We had enough of em last season. What we need is players with a purpose and for a purpose. Specifically full-backs and a free kick specialist if Beswick is nowhere on the horizon. I don't see Savage filling either role.
Sparky Posted 5 August 2008 Posted 5 August 2008 Breaking news on east mids today , Dickov set to sign . they are live at the walkers
Simi Posted 5 August 2008 Posted 5 August 2008 So MLS didn't offer him enough so Mandy bumped the deal up?
mmarkie Posted 5 August 2008 Posted 5 August 2008 Breaking news on east mids today , Dickov set to sign . they are live at the walkers Did anyone see them down there as i have just got back in so couldnt watch it.
C-man Posted 5 August 2008 Posted 5 August 2008 Wow. Never thought it would happen, let's just hope he's worth it.
Father Ted Posted 5 August 2008 Posted 5 August 2008 Nothing official or confirmed yet. Anybody else back up Sparky?
Joe_LCFC Posted 5 August 2008 Posted 5 August 2008 yeah just watched it on the news Dickov should sign in next few days. and maybe robbie savage @ least he can replace clemo. what do you all reckon?
Matt Posted 5 August 2008 Posted 5 August 2008 Well if he scores i'll be cheering his goals, because there Leicester goals but I certainly won't be cheering him, and if/when I see him in the car park before a game i'll most certainly be saying "Ah we're good enough for you now ah? How much have we offered you this time...obviously good enough this time round".
