Tabou Posted 6 August 2008 Posted 6 August 2008 Have we signed him yet? Who? Oh. No Mandy-babes reckons tonight/tomorrow.
Daggers Posted 6 August 2008 Posted 6 August 2008 That's no way to talk about the wife and kids. She does like to eat a bit of cheese though...
The People's Hero Posted 6 August 2008 Posted 6 August 2008 What a time to have a pair of antlers and a license to use them.
ROB-THE-BLUE Posted 6 August 2008 Posted 6 August 2008 Who?Oh. No Mandy-babes reckons tonight/tomorrow. Well if his time prediction is anything like when he was going to announce the new manager we might just beat the January transfer deadline
Jordan Posted 6 August 2008 Posted 6 August 2008 This signing saga seems a bit strange. I haven't read/heard a single comment from Mr. Dickov. Does he himself know that he's about to sign a one-year deal for Leicester City?
Thracian Posted 6 August 2008 Posted 6 August 2008 Totally agree. I think Kish will be very unlucky if he doesnt get a starting place alongside Oakley come Saturday! So, just out of interest, why would King get dropped after the Palace match having picked up ratings of mostly 7/8 to go with his three goals and five assists he's had in other matches so far?. Perhaps someone would let me know the tally of Kishishev goals and asssists.

They were in reserve matches though, granted he played well against Palace, but Kish has been consistent (more so) than King has in pre-season, they're both different type of players.

In competitive football last season I couldn't believe Kishishev's lack of ideas, confidence and skill.

In competitive football last season I couldn't believe Kishishev's lack of ideas, confidence and skill. Surely the guy deserves his chance though based upon his pre season so far? I know pre season games arent everything but he deserves a fair go!

In competitive football last season I couldn't believe the team's lack of ideas, confidence and skill under every damn manager... ...hmmm... Hey! Maybe those pesky managers had something to do with it?
Thracian Posted 6 August 2008 Posted 6 August 2008 Kettering and Quorn ain't truly League One standard. But so aren't we. Allegedly. I watched all Kishishev's home matches for the reserves last season and generally praised his contribution. I thought he brought the best out of people and suggested a place might be found for him on the coaching staff. But there was no way he was as effective as King in midfield. He played his part, no question, got involved with dead ball kicks and tried to be positive. But King was either scoring and making goals in almost every match. Yes I'd involve Kishishev. But off the bench.
Babylon Posted 6 August 2008 Posted 6 August 2008 One thread is all I ask for, just one... where is doesn't turn into a youth love fest.
Corky Posted 6 August 2008 Posted 6 August 2008 One thread is all I ask for, just one... where is doesn't turn into a youth love fest. ANDY KING IS MINT!!
Jonezy Posted 6 August 2008 Posted 6 August 2008 Like how the Dickov thread takes its time to discuss, who should be alongside Oakley in midfield for Saturday...... On the Dickov matter, I feel a bit meh to be honest. I liked this new approach of young and hungry players, and not signing players in their mid 30s. We are not going to see much of Ashley Chambers this season then.
Babylon Posted 6 August 2008 Posted 6 August 2008 We are not going to see much of Ashley Chambers this season then. If he finishes like he did against Birmingham i'm glad. Babylon sets the trap and awaits a Thracian to wander into it.

Fox You Forest Posted 6 August 2008 Posted 6 August 2008 If he finishes like he did against Birmingham i'm glad.Babylon sets the trap and awaits a Thracian to wander into it. I almost did.

At least he got into a position to miss which is more than many have done at Leicester in recent seasons. And do you want me to detail some of the woeful misses of the last 12 months by older players? Like Howard's header at Luton and his penalty. I know which list will be longer.

Look to the future Thracian instead of bringing up the past.
Corky Posted 6 August 2008 Posted 6 August 2008 No. Nobody cares. Look to the future Thracian instead of bringing up the past. That is basically asking him to bring it up
