to be honest the A.C.O.O.T thread is a bit strong - the scots reaction to England at football is about as significant (ie mildly irritating) as a kid knocking on the front door and running away- why would you expect different ?

To be fair there are a lot of South Americans with Scottish ancestry. But yeah he does look like a twat. The whole 'anybody but England' thing is embarrassing.

I read something recently that there are hundreds of Scots in South America that have been there since the World Cup in Argentina. They turned-up potless and have never got the money together to get home.

I think there are quite a few living  rough in London to whom this might apply!

Still if as I hope they vote for independence they will be able to wave that silly little saltire next time they qualify for the world cup. And as for the scot idiot in the article below the main one claiming England is his adopted home but moaning about England flags being flown he needs to go home before someone makes him.

It's light hearted banter mate!

I do wish I hadn't put that picture in here now, wish I'd stuck it in the funny pictures instead.

A man has been jailed for speeding at 150mph (240 km/h) with four young children who were not wearing seatbelts in the back of his car.

Keith Millard, 27, from Doncaster, was spotted by officers on the A1 at Norman Cross, Cambridgeshire on 14 September.

They found six-month-old twins in car seats, a girl, aged one, between them and a boy, aged two, in the footwell.

Millard was jailed for 20 weeks after admitting dangerous driving and driving without insurance.

Millard's black Mercedes was spotted by officers carrying out speed checks on the busy dual carriageway.

'Shocking' danger

He was stopped later on the A14, at about 21:35 BST, when the vehicle "slowed to about 90mph (145 km/h) due to heavy traffic, allowing officers to catch up", a Cambridgeshire Police spokesman said.

Millard, of Moss Road, who also had a female passenger with him, told officers he was trying to get to Dover in time to board the last ferry to Germany after missing a vessel in Hull.

Investigations revealed the Mercedes was Millard's father's, and he was not insured to drive it.

Millard, who admitted the offences at a hearing at Peterborough Crown Court on 17 June, was banned from driving for three years and will have to sit a further test to get his licence back.

Sgt Gordon Murray said: "It is shocking to think of the danger that Millard put these young children in.

"Not only would any collision, or loss of control at such speeds have potentially tragic consequences for both the driver and other road users, but the effect on unrestrained toddlers would almost certainly have been fatal.

"It is only through sheer luck that no-one was injured or killed by his driving."

A 12-year-old boy riding a motorcycle with a three-year-old passenger has been seriously injured in a crash with a car in Bridlington.

Police said the vehicles collided on Woldgate, at 12:40 BST on Saturday.

The boy suffered serious head injuries and multiple fractures to his body. He was airlifted to James Cook Hospital in Middlesbrough.

The toddler sustained minor injuries and was taken to Hull Royal Infirmary for treatment, Humberside Police said.

The 12-year-old boy, who was riding a blue Yamaha motorcycle, was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, police said.

He is now in a stable condition.

Police did not say whether the three-year-old child, who was travelling as a pillion passenger at the time of the collision, was wearing a helmet.

A spokeswoman said she was "unable to give more detail" about the model of motorcycle, or the gender of the toddler.

The driver of the car, a 31-year-old man from Bridlington, suffered minor whiplash injuries.

Detectives have appealed for witnesses to come forward.

It's a different world, isn't it?  The one where there the link between actions and consequences is yet to be established.  If you're going to drive without insurance I'd have thought the first thing you'd do would drive in a manner where you wouldn't attract attention to yourself, but that's just me.

our police cars are so shit they couldnt catch up. that dads a proper twat though

I'm not sure that it's that they cannot, I doubt they would pursue at those speeds even if they could.  One silly sod going at 150mph is bad enough without those following doing it too.

Keep it steady and alert the chopper coppers
