Mark Posted 26 September 2008 Posted 26 September 2008 Taking Back Sunday - Tell All Your Friends People bash the emo genre (if it even is a genre ) but there was some great music made especially this with clever lyrics and dueling vocals. First heard over 6 years ago and enjoy each song just as much now. They are a different band now, garbage. Great romances of the 20th century
Fez of Mahrez Posted 26 September 2008 Posted 26 September 2008 Just downloaded an O'Jays album and there's a great song on there called Sunshine. I don't really know whether it's a guilty pleasure but most of the rest of the album sounds a bit cheesy.
Libertine Posted 26 September 2008 Posted 26 September 2008 Boston, Journey etc Would all be guilty pleasures in most people's mind. But I don't care!
Filbert_Ross Posted 26 September 2008 Posted 26 September 2008 Do Alphabeat count? youve got some bottle ill give you that.
Nod.E Posted 26 September 2008 Posted 26 September 2008 Is Pendulum something I should be guilty about? I've started to love them.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 26 September 2008 Posted 26 September 2008 Boston, Journey etc Would all be guilty pleasures in most people's mind. But I don't care! Don't Stop Believin', Anyway You Want It, Wheel In the Sky... ...Consider me guilty as charged.
Fosse Boy Posted 26 September 2008 Posted 26 September 2008 Don't Stop Believin', Anyway You Want It, Wheel In the Sky......Consider me guilty as charged. Don't forget Separate Ways, Who's Crying Now? and Wheel in the Sky! I was lucky (?) enough to see them a couple of years ago, but it wasn't much of an experience without Steve Perry there...
James_lcfc Posted 26 September 2008 Posted 26 September 2008 "Just a small town girrrl, living in a lonely worrrld, she took the midnight train going an-y-where"
General Smuts Posted 26 September 2008 Posted 26 September 2008 Goldie Lookin Chain is a big guilty pleasure of mine. But im Catholic i always feel guilty, but do it anyway, then confess it in church. Me and God - we tight.
NFFC Chris Posted 26 September 2008 Posted 26 September 2008 I like a lot of 80's synthpop, which really goes against the norm of my usual music tastes and is very much a guilty pleasure!
Jack Posted 26 September 2008 Posted 26 September 2008 Goldie Lookin Chain is a big guilty pleasure of mine. I am also guilty of this.
Joe. Posted 26 September 2008 Posted 26 September 2008 Goldie Lookin Chain is a big guilty pleasure of mine. But im Catholic i always feel guilty, but do it anyway, then confess it in church. Me and God - we tight. I've seen them live. They supported Feeder when I went to see them and were actually surprisingly good
General Smuts Posted 28 September 2008 Posted 28 September 2008 I've seen them live. They supported Feeder when I went to see them and were actually surprisingly good Next Thursday at my uni. I've bought a shellsuit.
syston_fox Posted 28 September 2008 Posted 28 September 2008 McFly and Girls Aloud. Not cool to like by any stretch but they're catchy pop songs and good fun!
Jack Posted 28 September 2008 Posted 28 September 2008 McFly and Girls Aloud. Not cool to like by any stretch but they're catchy pop songs and good fun! Note wrong with a bit of McFly
Nationwider Posted 28 September 2008 Posted 28 September 2008 My taste in music these days would make most of the FT Music Forum denizens blush and avert their ears... ...But a smidgeon of "Fool Again" by Westlife, "Islands In The Stream" by Kenny & Dolly or "Who's Leaving Who" by Hazell Dean never really hurt anyone, did they?
MrsJohnMurphy Posted 29 September 2008 Posted 29 September 2008 Do Alphabeat count? to alphabeat i'd like to add - glen campbell & chas n dave
Webbo Posted 2 October 2008 Posted 2 October 2008 Can't beat a bit of James Taylor. I'd like to add Will Young to that list as well.
