Steven Posted 15 October 2008 Posted 15 October 2008 A Swedish poster from TB interviewed Pontus and the interview can be found here. http://www.talkingballs.co.uk/showthread.php?t=26209
Joe. Posted 15 October 2008 Posted 15 October 2008 Ha ha, pretty interesting that, thanks Steven. Loving the Savage abuse
Unabomber Posted 15 October 2008 Posted 15 October 2008 At Savage that is a few players I have seen who have said something similar about him.
Nationwider Posted 15 October 2008 Posted 15 October 2008 Curse you God for injuring him so..... *shakes fist to heavens* Great interview. Great player. The stuff about Sav is brutal but true. And who was the lucky Swede who got to go ten-pin bowling and camping with Pontus, Emile and Pegguy? I hope it was Bjorn Borg.
Sods Posted 15 October 2008 Posted 15 October 2008 Emile, Pegguy and Pontus. That just sounds sex all over for me.
Anish Posted 15 October 2008 Posted 15 October 2008 Pontus Kaamark, what a top player. McGhee's best signing in my opinion. I remember his debut away at WBA on ITV, he was amazing. Shame he had so many injury problems but he'll always be one of my all time favourites.
NewquayFox Posted 15 October 2008 Posted 15 October 2008 Fantastic player, kept his head down and served Leicester City with great Respect, as did a certain Mr Emile Heskey, met him a couple of times and he is a genuine decent Leicester lad and i would love to see him back in a City shirt again. PS another good game for England again tonight. ;0)
Ultra Posted 16 October 2008 Posted 16 October 2008 At Savage that is a few players I have seen who have said something similar about him. ...as well as one or two managers (such as MON..)
Ric Flair Posted 16 October 2008 Posted 16 October 2008 Pontus Kaamark get's a lot of love from me. Had eyes that could kill an opposing attacker from 50 yards away.
The People's Hero Posted 16 October 2008 Posted 16 October 2008 Curse you God for injuring him so..... *shakes fist to heavens* Great interview. Great player. The stuff about Sav is brutal but true. And who was the lucky Swede who got to go ten-pin bowling and camping with Pontus, Emile and Pegguy? I hope it was Bjorn Borg. I wish it was me. They must have got a LOT on that trip.
OriginalRobboFOX Posted 16 October 2008 Posted 16 October 2008 Me and a mate went to his leaving do in the Carling Stand and Magnus Hedman was there too. There was a raffle and Pontus gave away his Sweden Shirt from the World Cup semis, a City shirt of his, Hedman had a shirt there too. But the best was donated by Jesper Blomqvist and it was one of his Man Utd shirts all signed by everyone, Scholes, Giggs, Becks, Yorke etc. from the treble winning side. My mate only went and won it!! The jammy bast*rd!! <_<
Thracian Posted 16 October 2008 Posted 16 October 2008 Quality player Kaamark. His comments on Savage suggest he's a good judge of a footballer too.
Collymore Posted 16 October 2008 Posted 16 October 2008 Love it how he uses 'we' and 'we're' still. He was as a brilliant player.
Zingari Posted 16 October 2008 Posted 16 October 2008 very classy player he never really accepted the "drinking culture " in the english game and seemed genuinely astonished by the behaviour of some "professional" footballers
Salieri Posted 16 October 2008 Posted 16 October 2008 The main thing i remember about Pontus Kaamark is him marking Juninho out of the game in the League Cup Final. One of the best defensive performances your ever likely to see. Great player, top bloke.
The People's Hero Posted 6 March 2012 Posted 6 March 2012 Missed him tonight Yeah, he'd have manmarked generic Bristol City nomark striker out of the game.
Thracian Posted 7 March 2012 Posted 7 March 2012 Probably the best I've seen for Leicester in his position. So intelligent and reliable.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 7 March 2012 Posted 7 March 2012 We'll be very lucky to see a player of his quality in a City shirt any time soon. Vitor came close though and may well go on to be better, just sadly not for us.
