Trav Le Bleu Posted 12 November 2011 Posted 12 November 2011 How did this thread die out so early? Anyhow, new entry...
Houdini Logic Posted 14 November 2011 Posted 14 November 2011 You need to read 'The Perks of Being a Wallflower'...
StanSP Posted 14 November 2011 Posted 14 November 2011 Hurt - Johnny Cash. In the Deep - Bird York Gone Too Soon - More so Usher's version at Michael Jackson's tribute than MJ's original. I hadn't heard the song before hearing it at MJ's tribute. Smile - Michael Jackson
ajthefox Posted 14 November 2011 Posted 14 November 2011 That song that used to be on the cancer research advert years ago, some lyric in it about fields of barley. It might even be called fields of gold...? I'm not too sure but I'm guessing someone will know what I'm on about. edit: seems I was right, it's Fields of Gold I was on about. Should add I mean the Eva Cassidy version Oh and Never Forget You by Lupe Fiasco to some extent because my Grandma passed away in march this year not long after it was released
Langston Posted 15 November 2011 Posted 15 November 2011 Angie by the 'Stones and most of Springsteen's stuff (serves as a reminder to my late dad - Thunder Road and Dancing In The Dark especially)

Smudge Posted 19 September 2012 Posted 19 September 2012 I remember watching this in a cinema in Leicester fifty years ago, certainly brought a lump to my throat if not a tear or two. Oddly in my life I hadn't heard this song before and it struck a chord. This movie along with others such as Saturday Night and Sunday Morning and The L shaped Room were revolutionary in style and substance. Ramblings of an old git x
STEVIE B Posted 20 September 2012 Posted 20 September 2012 Flowers & Football Tops by Glasvegas. Great song, a tribute to Kriss Donald, RIP. A shocking story. Here's hoping his murderers suffer a similar fate.
