Leicester Rule!

Stearman

Since Wolves have been promoted, if Stearman isn't playing he might be coming back here on a Years loan.

Thats the latest rumour going around, even from Wolves fans.

No thanks - let him rot in the Wolves reserves

Some people might disagree with me here, but i'm not sure I would want him back, TBH I can't see this rumour being true anyway, but if it is I wouldn't be overly excited about it.

I'm glad he left, Some people regarded him as one of our better players last season (Not much competition really though was there?) but I thought he was one of our worst tbh.

How many seasons did he play for us? 3? In all the seasons he played for us he had 1 decent season, His first season and I would go as far as saying he was probably our best player that season, ever since that though he was rubbish apart from odd flashes in the big games where he could be bothered, the rest of the time he come across as lazy, couldn't be arsed and no overly bothered.

I've not really followed his progress at Wolves, I know at the start of the season Wolves fans were quite happy and impressed by him but did he go downhill and become poor all of sudden (Like at Leicester), I seem to remember hearing he kept making silly mistakes, and he didn't seem to be in the team consistently as the season went on, am I right in thinking this?

All i'm bothered and hoping for regarding Stearman is the possibility of a add on clause in the sale of him to Wolves - Being that one of the clause is if Wolves go promoted it would mean more £££'s for us. :dunno:

Should we sign Gilbert back he'll be the right-back.

From what I've seen of Hobbs, Tunch, Morrison and Brown, they are more than able to make the step up, so I can't see him returning.

I like attacking full backs and Stearman does not really fit that role for us. As a centre half, I like Tunchev, Hobbs and Brown better. I don't think we need Stearman (I think Richard has played most games for Wolves this season, I don't buy that he doesn't have a future there).

I certainly don't want Stearman back.

Everyone knows his severe limitations at full back, and frankly, if we retain Hobbs, I think Tunch, Brown, Hobbs and Morrisson would all be ahead of him in the pecking order anyway.

Sounds like wishful thinking from Stearman fanboys to me.

I'm going to be the first to say that I wouldn't mind him back...

as a right-back I always rated him and on loan we can't really go wrong. Even if it's as cover for Gilbert.

Stearman, Macauley, McCarthy...

Those three names I'd never want to see back.

At the time, the general consensus was that they were all pretty solid.

Now off the back of a great season, albeit at a lower level, we'd much rather have Hobbs, Tunchev, Brown, Morrison, (Kisnorbo) ... To me that is testiment to how well these players have performed.

Former players don't cut it, they're never the same.

For me we have a set of the strongest CBs we've had at the club for a few years, all that's needed is a set of attacking RBs. Gilbert one of these and someone else.

No thanks - not good enough and we already have plenty of cover at right/centre back (even more so with Tuch coming back and if we're able to tie Hobbs down).

And while he was clearly fond of the club, frankly, he was one of a number of players who’s attitude back during the ‘bad old days’ always stank and was only indulged by the likes of RK and Ollie... very much a step back and (thankfully) it’d never happen.

We just wouldn't need him. :dunno:

His best position has clearly been identified as a centre back, but with Tunchev, Hobbs (possibly), Morrison and Brown we've got more than good enough cover. As a right-back he's dire in my opinion.

He was lazy when he played for us, and part of the team that produced seasons of shit in the Championship before coming down to League One.

Don't want him back.
