Flynny Posted 31 July 2009 Posted 31 July 2009 Make your predictions for next season in this thread. Then in a few months time we can all come and laugh at them, especially mine. Keep them bulleted and in bold text if you want it saving, like this: Prediction 1 Prediction 2 Predicition 3 I'll split out the predictions from in between the discussion periodically so long as they're clearly visible like that. Once the season gets under way I'll sticky it.

Flynny Posted 31 July 2009 Author Posted 31 July 2009 I'll start: Steve Howard to struggle to dominate aerially, plays less than 25 games. Sheffield United to win promotion. Finish below 13th and above 18th Peterborough finish above us.
StanSP Posted 31 July 2009 Posted 31 July 2009 Our lack of penetrative attack might prove costly We'll start off well reaching 5th/6th, tail off down and stay around mid-table after Jan going into Feb/March Tunchev scores at least 5 goals. As well as being in the top 4 defences in the league.
Finchy Posted 31 July 2009 Posted 31 July 2009 * Cov to start the season well then by October sink right to the bottom of the league and see all the usual pre season optimism fade away as they spend yet another season in a relegation battle, but this time it will get the better of them. * Dany N'Guessan to be top Championship goal scorer until Christmas. * Newcastle to be in the relegation zone until November, but they'll finish 7th just below us and miss out on the play offs on goal difference.
Asha Posted 31 July 2009 Posted 31 July 2009 Jack Hobbs will score 3 or more own goals this season. We will do the double over Newcastle + Boro. Peterborough + S****horpe will do the double over us. We'll beat Macclesfield in the League Cup, but we'll get trounced in the second round by a premiership team. We'll get to the QF's of the FA Cup.
Guest Posted 31 July 2009 Posted 31 July 2009 Clemence to be put down by Christmas DJ Cambell to be used as a steward for away fans at the Walkers Steve Howard to threaten at least 3 keepers with a damn good kicking The Kop and the Family Stand to be swapped round Iain Hume to bring full on riot gear with him if he faces Morgan next season Posh to finish just above relegation and realise that the Post Horn Gallop is OURS!!! Chants of 'you can shove your fooking badger up your arse' to be directed at Ollie when we play Blackpool
Jon the Hat Posted 31 July 2009 Posted 31 July 2009 1. All my predictions will be wrong. Apart from this one obviously. 2. Top 10 finish. 3. Boro will be crap once and for all putting to bed the idea that they have a wonderful youth policy. 4. Newcastle will defy all expectations and go straight back up.
maddog Posted 31 July 2009 Posted 31 July 2009 Fryatt will look lazy and slow on the pitch most weeks and rarely score, but fans will continue to chant du du du du Matty Fryatt. I will fail to see what Steve Howard brings to the team, he won't score, he will lose the ball, he won't win headers, he won't run, yet you will all praise him like a footballing God. Nigel Pearson will be sacked or leave the club before the end of the season.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 31 July 2009 Posted 31 July 2009 •Astrid leaves club at some point •Around 10th at Xmas then buy a few more faces in January for the play off push •Defence manages 7 goals in total mainly coming from corners. Defence also finishes 2nd best in league.
dandannieldanok Posted 31 July 2009 Posted 31 July 2009 1. We'll lose 1-0 to Swansea on the opening day. 2. "Pearson Out" will be heard before the season is finished. 3. We'll do the double over Barnsley.
Tilley Posted 31 July 2009 Posted 31 July 2009 Matty Fryatt will score less than 10 goals. Nigel Pearson won't be at the club after Christmas We will get a draw against 'Boro on the final day to stay up
Samilktray Posted 31 July 2009 Posted 31 July 2009 Pearson out by October. DJ to score more than Fryatt. Gradel to move to Spurs in January.
DB11 Posted 31 July 2009 Posted 31 July 2009 Nigel Pearson won't last the season We will lose the first game of the season Tunchev's sold in January
lou Posted 31 July 2009 Posted 31 July 2009 Nigel Pearson will win Manager of the Month for October We wont win a game in November Fryatt wont score more than 10 goals in the season.
Dr The Singh Posted 31 July 2009 Posted 31 July 2009 The side will get boooed by the end of september We will draw majority of our games We will have one of the best defensive records but worst scoring records also
Raj Posted 31 July 2009 Posted 31 July 2009 People will be calling for NP's head BEFORE the campaign even begins The team will be Booed in the first half v Swansea We will lose the first 5 games 5-0 DJ will be bought by a non league club and score 20 goals within the first week and we will buy him back for for £250,000 L1'ers mental IQ will still be less than the amount of goals Steve Howard And Matty Fryatt will score(combined) We will have our first win in April Chelsea dagger will be played whenever we get a throw-in Gary Lineker will pull a 19 year old glamour model The West Stand will be The New L1 Tom from Kasabian will be banned for life for chucking coins at Forest fans Fez and Alexipopopopopops will get married! Oh and when we get relegated in May,Manderic decides to sell up,the ground is sold to DeMontford Uni and LCFC will move to a 10,00 seater stadia in Beaumont Leys!!
flanimal Posted 31 July 2009 Posted 31 July 2009 - Leicester will finish 3rd. - N'Guessan will start off shakey, but will become our best striker, getting better as the season goes on. - Clemence will return, and do a Bullock and get injured on his return-debut. - Kee will emerge as a contender when he comes off the bench after January and scores a vital goal. - Ajdarevic will make no impact, and will leave before the end of the season. - Oakley will be dropped.
Guest Bilo Posted 31 July 2009 Posted 31 July 2009 We will be in the play-off places at Christmas, but fade away towards the end of the season as injuries take their toll finishing 10th. Newcastle will stuggle to find a new manager and appoint Chris Hughton. Out of his depth, he'll be sacked by the end of September with the Magpies languishing near the danger zone. Keegan takes over, and Newcastle qualify for the play-offs where they are beaten by Reading at Wembley. Forest's new signings fail to gel and we do the double over them as they are rooted firmly in the lower reaches of mid-table all season; neither coming close to promotion or relegation. Derby put in a similar performance and Coventry's annual battle with relegation finally gets the better of them in their last away game of the season at promoted Middlesborough.
Guest ttfn Posted 31 July 2009 Posted 31 July 2009 1) Fryatt to score 15+ league goals 2) Tunchev to be sold to Bolton or Fulham in January 3) Middlesbrough to win the league. 4) Preston to finish between 5th and 10th, just like every season. 5) Loan keeper to be brought in before christmas
Webbo Posted 31 July 2009 Posted 31 July 2009 Fryatt will score around 20 goals. Top 10 finish for us. Newcastle will finish comfortably above Middlesbrough. Dickov will score a vital winning goal for us and still get slagged off on here.
leicesterseddon Posted 31 July 2009 Posted 31 July 2009 We will finish 12th Newcastle will scrape a play-off place but be beaten at Wembley in the play-off final Fryatt will score fewer than 15 goals N'Guessen will have a good season; Gradel will have an awful one Cov will be relegated
Dan Posted 31 July 2009 Posted 31 July 2009 Leicester will sign Tom Cleverley on a permanent deal, after a loan spell with the FoxesMatty Fryatt will score 8 goals this seasonLeroy Lita will sign for QPR and get 12 goalsLeicester will sign Stern JohnMK Dons go bust (always a positive one thrown in)
Guest Posted 31 July 2009 Posted 31 July 2009 1. Fryatt will get into double figures if he stays fit2. We'll start slowly then go on a little run up to mid table before dropping down and staving off relegation in the last two or three games3. Pearson won't last the season4. Like our last Championship season, we'll have a solid defence but fail to make chances as our wingers struggle to adapt to life in the Championship.
C-man Posted 31 July 2009 Posted 31 July 2009 Newcastle will win the league. Sheffield United will lose in the play-offs. Some one will say that Mark Clemmit is a worse presenter than Ian Stringer. Tunchev will be our player of the season. Fryatt will score 15 goals in all competitions.
