That's all very easy to say with the benefit of hind legs watching replays. Given that it happened in the blink of an eye I think it's harsh to blame the officials.

Disappointing though, really. You expect more from Henry.

How can anyone be proud of winning a game like that, it makes me hate professional football. Any admiration I had for Henri vanished in that one moment.

How does Richard Dunne sit there with Henry after knowing he did that? If I was an Irish player I would be right in his face telling him that he is a cheat and doesn't deserve the chance to play in another World Cup.

That said, the French are a poor side under the current gaffer and they wont get far imo.

Very upset for Ireland.

Desperate to see another British nation in it, i don't really enjoy watching England that much.

I'm more disappointed now than i will be when England crash out the world cup on penalties.

My mums parents are Irish, i wanted them through so i could support England and Ireland.

I don't even think you can be angry at Henry, it just hit him really, you hardly expect him to turn round and say it shouldn't count. There is a World Cup place at stake.

Saying that, looking at Henry at the end with Dunne I don't think he's too delighted with the way it was won.

Bit knee jerk. I'm disappointed but I think when you're pumped up with adrenaline and desperation you'll do all sorts of things. I certainly wouldn't condem him for that, I think what's important is how he deals with it afterwards. What made Maradona so shocking was the decades of denial and arrogance.

i got from your original statement that..well.. its back to square one as they only needed one goal same as before they had scored.

was simply pointing out that it shouldnt be that way as they had already got the 1 goal they needed and did it honestly.. only for Henry to cheat.
