suffolk fox Posted 3 January 2010 Posted 3 January 2010 There's no one at the club who's a patch on Fryatt, certainly not Waghorn or Gallagher. He's on target for 25 goals this season and without his constant threat (he worries defenders even on an off day) we're going nowhere other than mid-table. If Martinez thinks he can keep Wigan up, then he'd have to be worth a minimum of £5m anyway. You haven't been to many games this season then?? Fryatt is a frustrating player at times, that said, he seems to be playing better of late good performances yesterday and against Sheff Utd on Boxing Day. That said, I believe every player has his price. If they were to up it to 4 or even 5 million. I believe that would be a good price. One thing he lacks is pace, however he makes up for it with his close control. If tabloids are to be believed the whole of Pompeys squad are going to be up for sale. Cardiff too are close to administration, how about we sell Fryatt and get in Chopra? We have Waghorn coming back and mad dog seems to rate Kermogant. Plus Gallacher can play centre forward.

I'm not sure you've been to many games this season if you think he lacks pace, he definitely seems quicker than he used to. Also, maddog's probably the most fickle poster on here, I wouldn't take his opinion of any player particularly seriously.
Guest Bilo Posted 3 January 2010 Posted 3 January 2010 Would want a damn sight more than £3 million for a player of Fryatt's quality. A minimum of £4.5 million before we even start talking. I can't see Fryatt fancying it to be honest, Wigan wouldn't exactly represent a glamour move for him.
Tony Pine Posted 3 January 2010 Posted 3 January 2010 What sort? Von Richthofen or Cohen? the red one
Walshy5 Posted 3 January 2010 Posted 3 January 2010 Not Fryatt biggest fan but he is a massive asset in our team. I would only sell if we got silly money like £5m. This

He still does lack pace in my opinion. He lacks physical pace, and quickness of the brain at times. Two of the most important assets to make the grade in the premiership. Having said that, they both seem to be improving, and he does as you've mentioned seem a little quicker than last year. But I would still say he lacks pace.
meadwell5 Posted 3 January 2010 Posted 3 January 2010 Sell Fryup for 4M+ and buy in David Healy for 2m. Good Business. Use spare cash for loans in Mid & Def. Id take Scotland too.
davieG Posted 3 January 2010 Posted 3 January 2010 His biggest fault is that he has his head down when he has the ball and he lacks awareness of those around him, having said that he's got a fair few assists to his name.

tylesta Posted 3 January 2010 Posted 3 January 2010 Ehhhhh... nooooohttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XsAxuzM93cs...PL&index=48 if fryatt was to leave id think he would want to stay in the midlands
Bert Posted 3 January 2010 Posted 3 January 2010 If we sold Fryatt for £3m, I wouldn't see it as being a major problem a frint 2 of Howard/Waghorn or Howard/Gallagher would do just as well then we could either bank the money until the summer when prices aren't so stupid or spend it in other more urgent areas such as a little shit of a midfielder to add to bite to us or a really creative midfielder to create more chances then we do now Get real for a minute. So when Waghorn goes back at the end of the season, and Howard gets even more fucked, what are we gonna do then? Fryatt's our most dangerous frontman and we'd be crazy to let him go.
Jimmy Posted 3 January 2010 Posted 3 January 2010 Get real for a minute. So when Waghorn goes back at the end of the season, and Howard gets even more fucked, what are we gonna do then? Fryatt's our most dangerous frontman and we'd be crazy to let him go. yes you're right I'm sure Kermorgant and Gallagher would be totally useless, even though Gallagher is almost identical to Fryatt in the way he plays and Kermorgant already offers as much if not more then Howard
Daggers Posted 3 January 2010 Posted 3 January 2010 Sell Fryatt. Buy Davies, Fulop and Beckford with enough change left over to reduce ticket prices to single figures. Makes so much sense.
Bert Posted 3 January 2010 Posted 3 January 2010 yes you're right I'm sure Kermorgant and Gallagher would be totally useless, even though Gallagher is almost identical to Fryatt in the way he plays and Kermorgant already offers as much if not more then Howard Have you seen Kermorgant and Gallagher play as many games as Fryatt and Howard have done for Leicester? I've never said they're going to be "totally useless" - that's your football knowledge. Do you not find it strange how the interest is in Fryatt though? I wonder why that is? Maybe because he scores goals. Gallagher has shown no indication for us that he can regularly do it, (partly down to not playing much) and the same goes for Yann. But whilst we've got Fryatt who's looking dangerous and playing well, do you really think for £3million, when we could get so much more, it would be beneficial to us and we could get an adequate replacement? I don't think so, but obviously you do, so we might as well get rid.
MPH Posted 3 January 2010 Posted 3 January 2010 Sell Fryatt.Buy Davies, Fulop and Beckford with enough change left over to reduce ticket prices to single figures. Makes so much sense. In all honesty they are the three player i would love us to sign... But i guess the other thing to consider of course is the wage budget... i think people lik D would need to leave for us to sign more than one of those players!
Koke Posted 3 January 2010 Posted 3 January 2010 Why would any sane Leicester fan even remotely consider selling a bloke who is on course to getting 20 goals a season? Unbelievable. Where else do we find a 20 goal striker? They don't hang around waiting to be picked up. Fryatt should be kept at all cost. He has improved a lot over the last 18 months. He is our most dangerous and influential player. He has scored 12 goals and he has got 6 assists. And people still consider selling him and getting David fucking Healy. Lord, give me strength.

Some people are never happy mate, that's why. Just because he has some flaws to his game, we need to get rid. Yet if and/or when we do get rid, they'll be the first fuckers to moan.
Guest BlueBrett Posted 3 January 2010 Posted 3 January 2010 if we sell fyatt we can kiss our play-off prospects goodbye. if he improves as much over the next 18months as he has over the last he would even be capable of doing a decent job for us in the prem. 3million pounds is nowhere near enough to justify letting him go. he is currently one of the championships most in form players and he is aspirational and eager to develop his game. i cant think of anyone who could contribute as much as he does that we could buy for 3mil and if it is going to be a case of simply replacing matty with the money we receive for him then what exactly is the point in letting him go and disrupting the team in the process? i would be interested to know how many of you would prefer having beckford than fryatt. personally i would much rather keep matty as there can be no questions asked about his attitude or off the ball work rate.

I think some people forget that if he didn't have floors he'd of started playing for Real Madrid at the age of 16 and be banging in 50 goals a season I Love this club.. but we are Leicester City. In the championship. and we are only just emerging from some seriously bad seasons of football... Matty Fryatt has the potential to get better.

Asha Posted 3 January 2010 Posted 3 January 2010 My mate still maintains that he absolutely hates him. He scores a lot of goals, what more do you want from a striker?
