Legend_in_blue Posted 28 September 2010 Posted 28 September 2010 I don't believe a word MM speaks. As far as the MON situation goes, who knows? No-one believed NP would leave, but he did.
Corky Posted 28 September 2010 Posted 28 September 2010 Couldn't we just return to 1999 again? Seems much more simple.
l444ry Posted 28 September 2010 Posted 28 September 2010 The club would stand a better chance of nailing him if the "owners" dispensed of the clown in chief, Mandaric. With that idiot here I doubt Martin would give us a second thought. Then again, he's a law unto himself. It's not wise to double-guess Martin O'Neill!!
Guest Basildon Fox Posted 28 September 2010 Posted 28 September 2010 Of course we still do not know who the other investor(s) is/are. If they have a war chest to give him then it may well appeal to him to raise a team back up to the Prem and surpass his old club Villa. O'Neil is a very proud man and I would imagine he would not want Villa to be his last attempt at management. After all his old manager would never have stooped so low to go to Forest who were in the division below after being at Derby/Leeds would he. One league and 2 European Cups later...... Not saying it is going to happen but for people to turn round and think he may harm his Legend status as a reason for not returning is complete bollocks. I guarantee that would not even enter his head.
Saladin Posted 28 September 2010 Posted 28 September 2010 O'Neill targeted for sensational return to LCFC I wouldn't put it past our Thai owners to at least have a crack at getting him back, worth a shot surely, even though it's quite likely he'd turn us down?
ThurnbyLodgeFox Posted 28 September 2010 Posted 28 September 2010 Because of our recent takeover, the Thais have leaked points of view that they want O'Neill in charge and Sousa OUT! Milan might be saying this and that about him saying, but at the end of the day it is not his decision to make, because he doesn't own anything. They said that they are targetting a move for O'Neill and Sousa will be leaving!

Heskey2011 Posted 28 September 2010 Posted 28 September 2010 let's get Paul Dickov back and give him the job dear god no please no never ever never mention putting DICKov in charge or anywhere near this club, have you forgotten the blackburn pen in the cup? I wouldn't piss on him if he was burning.... actually i would but after i doused out the flames i'd set him alight again!

You write like you have information when in fact all you have written is completely made up and is what you want to happen. Prepare to get ripped to bits if you do that on this forum.
Guy Posted 28 September 2010 Posted 28 September 2010 I'm split between the reality and the dream at the mo. On a similar front, who'd have predicted Craig Bellamy would drop down to the Championship from a potential Premier League winning side this season when still in his relative prime?! - in the name of loyalty and heart = not I! I know it's a season long loan but that's as good as a transfer these days! Therefore I don't think we can rule a return of MON out 100%- even though iyt is still 90% unlikely as he is not the type to backtrack in life (as far as we know) and would probably rather let let bygones be bygones....while waiting for the England job.....?!
Matt Posted 28 September 2010 Posted 28 September 2010 Martin's at the game tonight! Or maybe not...If only we could joke at this moment Radio Leicester, If only....
l444ry Posted 28 September 2010 Posted 28 September 2010 Just to put more coal on the fire...... http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/28092010/58/championship-paper-round-o-neill-leicester-return.html
bluefox9er Posted 28 September 2010 Posted 28 September 2010 What influence do you think he has? who? O'Neil or Mandaric?
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 28 September 2010 Posted 28 September 2010 Couldn't we just return to 1999 again? Seems much more simple. Can you fix a flux capacitor?
Len Finsbury Posted 29 September 2010 Posted 29 September 2010 You know when things sound too good to be true? That's because they usually are. As much as I'd love for him to return, I think we might be kidding ourselves. Besides, if we're to believe that MM and PS have this great friendship then surely he'll be trying to keep hold of him as a favour! MM has little financial commitment to the club now which suggests he can look at things in a slightly different way.
Howard9 Posted 29 September 2010 Posted 29 September 2010 Since martin O'neil is out of a job at the moment i see NO reason why we carnt just talk with him and MAYBE conjour up a deal to get him back in the walkers We need someone with that experience as a manager now he did GREAT at aston villa shame he left and all but now we HAVE a HUGE oppurtunity to get him back considering that the new THAI owners are ment to have all this Supposed money to spend then spend it on a decent manager

That was made up to make Sousa's appearance at the Cardiff game seem less dubious. It was supposed to appease the fans so when he was appointed we would not put 2&2 together as the club & MM assume we are all gullible retards.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 29 September 2010 Posted 29 September 2010 Let's get MON back? Tell you what, let's not. Let's all get a grip on reality.
radical Posted 29 September 2010 Posted 29 September 2010 you would have to crazy not to want this a little bit. BUT how many managers have done well second time around?
Sk4 Posted 29 September 2010 Posted 29 September 2010 We could get MON back and he could lead us to another league cup success ,we were good in that cup when he was here .
Ozwin Posted 29 September 2010 Posted 29 September 2010 If we all put a fiver in we'll pay his wages for a year or he can spend it on transfers, either or is fine with me.
Jackirius Posted 29 September 2010 Posted 29 September 2010 If we all put a fiver in we'll pay his wages for a year or he can spend it on transfers, either or is fine with me. Think he will be on more than £150k a year. But meh, lets try it anyway. £10
Ash Posted 29 September 2010 Posted 29 September 2010 Its not going to happen...... Pardew, Jewell, Curbishley?
Wymsey Posted 29 September 2010 Posted 29 September 2010 Its not going to happen...... Pardew, Jewell, Curbishley? I would pick Jewell out of them by looking at how well he did at Wigan when they were 'unknown'
