Hobbs, Davies and Vitor.

That is a tidy trio for Sven to pick from.

Now if we can only rid ourselves of the rest of the crap we have accumulated since our stint in League One we might actually start moving forward again.

Vitor has the potential to be very good, I hope Sven uses him. I know he was a Sousa signing, but Sven can speak the language and he's looking more assured than Morrison this season. I still think we are one defender short as well though.

It is a difficult situation to be in, I think we do have enough quality at the back now we just need to perform. If Tunchev wasn't on the books I would probably agree with you, but I am not sure whether he will come back the same man (if at all). If he does though we will be in a good situation.

I agree.

Sadly Bruno Berner looked like age had caught up with him last night, but he wasn't helped by Gallagher, but you can see why Sven went out and got a new left back.

Doubt it. Davies is injured aint he so Hobbs should get a start alongside Vitor. As long as Morrison doesnt get anywhere near the team again we might have half a chance.

Vitor played really well last night aginst Bednar who is very physical and a good player.

If Davies wasn't injured I would have dropped Hobbs. (I am a big fan of Hobbs)

But Jack looks lost and has done since about August so it's time to give someone else a chance for a month

Hey, i´m a Benfica fan from Portugal ( kind of obvious ), and i registered to get some opinions on Miguel Vítor and Moreno playing form, i was planning to start a new thread but i can´t, anybody can enlighten me ?

The first game he played for Benfica was against AC Milan in the Champions League and he did very well, unfortunately we have Luisão, David Luiz and Sidnei ( all players who have played for Brazil national sides ) for the CB position and he couldn´t get games to develop so i reckon this is a big chance for him, i really like him as a player, besides that stupid face he makes when he is playing he is quick and very reliable, i think he just needs a good run of games to establish himself.

How about Moreno ? Has he played ? In Vitória Guimarães he was captain and he used to play as a CB or DM and he did good, he has a very good long range shot.

Not so good, he only played under Sousa. Looks technically a very good player but he appears too slow for the scrappy, high-tempo nature of the Championship. I don't think he'd make it as a CB in England because he's poor in the air, possibly as a DM but we over-subcribed in that area.

in many ways the defence has become a Sven made problem in all the best of senses because he has sorted it out, but with players who aren't ours. So firstly we have to be greatful that we are again capable of clean sheets but it seems that he has already decided that the likes of Berner,Morrison,Lamey,Neilson are not good enough. This is great management in such quick time, but nevertheless the problem exists...i have faith in his ability to sort it out, i just wonder about Morrison. I know he has had an absolute mare of a season to date but does anybody else think he is still capable of improving?#As I said we should be greatful that Sven has had the foresight to sort out he problem so quickly but would Davies, Vitor even if we could afford him and Naughton even want to come to us? Exciting times ahead that's for sure

one other point re Pearson...know it's not the right place but wtf....there seem to be a lot of people who are quite negative about him but for me he will always be a Leicester hero because of the mire he got us out of and I can only wish him well

i do think morrison can come good again as he is young and we all saw what he can do last year imo he is a better rb than cb and i think he should go league one on loan just to get matches and be there best player so he regains confidence

No it isn't, this guy was starting for the best team in Portugal during the 2008-09 season at 19 years old. Portugal U-21 international, Portugal are better than England, you think we could sign an England U21 international that cheap?

At least we've a manager who had confidence to use him now and we have him for the rest of the season, and that was purely down to Sousa connections, we wouldn't have stood a chance otherwise.
