Or Jim Jones Revue - unadulterous rock and roll, balls out rock, you dont see that too much thesedays. artist of the year The walkmen your tip for 2011 I guess laura marling's talent has already shon through this year (british do have good taste) so I'll go for The Vaccines. Pretty much all I had on during the early part of 2010. Artist of the Year Emarosa Your Tip For 2011 City & Colour's new album will hopefully be as stunning as his previous stuff. It's a virtually impossible decision, but in all seriousness Tinie Tempah's Pass Out has been a belter. I remember loving it the first time I heard it and surprisingly it hasn't grown too old yet for me. There are definitely more polished articles that I've loved from this year, but at the moment this stands out with the National track. Your favourite debut album of the year - Two Door Cinema Club - Tourist History Album of the Year - It's been a cracking year for albums. The National - High Violet or the one above. Best gig attended - Arcade Fire @ Leeds Festival. Disappointment of the year - Kings of Leon turning into complete cunts. Surprise of the year - In a country dominated by awful pop music, the pleasant surprise of Mumford & Sons' massive rise. Artist of the year - Laura Marling. Surprise of the year The success of Delphic, very dull album. Best gig attended Gaslight Anthem - Birmingham Artist of the year Deftones, to come back with an album like that when you've lost a member of the band is incredible.
