Moreno - do you feel sorry for him?

Is it true to say that Moreno has always been played out of position - at centreback - whereas he is more of a defensive midfielder and hasn't been given a run out in that slot?? Moreno cannot head a ball, but is a skilful player and I am surprised that Sven hasn't at least given him a run out; even though we do have Abe now. What do others think, do you feel sorry for him as I do to some extent.

Yes tbf he looks a decent player, composed on the ball and can pass it. He's no centre back and it's harsh to judge him there, but that's where he was played at the start of the season and so everyone will think he's crap because of that.

i saw him walk past my coffee shop window with quite a large number of people who i assume to be relatives and it made me think the same. he wasnt garbage at all, could have been an ok addition to the squad once settled, but never really performed for us. i wouldnt object to his inclusion in the future if sven and faz thought he deserved it.

I think he played as the holding midfielder at Leeds in the League Cup if my memory serves me right. He was completely out of his depth i'm afraid to say and I don't feel sorry for him. He may be skilful but I just don't see any future for the lad in England, whether it be with Leicester or any other club!

I feel sorry for every player not having a chance to prove their worth during a pre season with Sven......

Now, I believe, Sven has to do a few decision based on what people tells him and what players showed under Sousa.

I hope the fringe players understand that they have every chans of success if they give all they got. Players like Fryatt, Dyer Moussa, Berner and so on can double, triple or even quadruole their weekly pay if Sven get this ship going....

Don't feel sorry for him as he's a million miles off the pace for the Championship

But it does highlight Sven's inflexibility for not even trying something different in an effort to stop the goals being shipped

I forgot this dude even existed. Always be remembered for that apalling mistake versus Reading.

Agree with you here, even waggy don't get look in after leaving his hometown club.

The manager watches the players week in, week out in training and if he saw anything in him then i guess he'd get a game. The arrival of Abe has obviously hindered him and I do have a bit of sympathy for him given he's not been given a shot but he's no spring chicken and not likely to become a world beater any time soon.

Just another name in the very long list of pointless, ill advised signings i'm afraid.

feel sorry for him because he's came all the way over to england to sit on the bench and sometimes no even get included in the squad

at the start of the season he played center back against middlesbrough and burnley were he had to to handle big strong players in kris boyd and chris iwellumo so playing there was always gunna be difficult and i think him playing there and doing so badly is what will be remembered of him, i cant see him being the key to our midfield as i think king, abe and wellens is pretty much settled with oakley filling in for injuries

obviously not impressing in training for him not to hardly ever be in the matchday squad, can see him being relseased along with leon crncic at the end of the season

It's part and parcel of what it means to be professional footballer these days where managers come and go so regularly. Your face, style of play, competency level fits or it doesn't.

He's no better or worse off than all Pearson and Sousa signings that are no longer in the squad but they are all well compensated with wages that are considerably higher than most of the fans who are contributing up to £30+ quid to watch so many of them regularly under perform.

Do they feel sorry for us?

Have to agree here. It is an example of the negative effect frequent managerial changes can have. Thats why Pearson did well because he had a decent run at it with Pre-seasons etc. At the moment players need to perform in training to break into the first team, but some unfortunately aren't handling the pressure to impress better than others, e.g. Waghorn, Weale, Morrison, Hobbs (But getting better), Fryatt. Shame because they are good players who have performed for us in the past.

Thats football ey!

I'd say the majority of the players feel indifferent to the fans, I'd say a minority resent the fans, and the others want to play for the shirt.

If you were a player and looked up hear the fans singing for someone in your position, who are sitting on the subs bench, or worse not on the subs bench, then you'd feel sorry for yourself, regardless of the money you were being paid. I know I'd be as keen as an anorexic trapped in a prison made of cake.

Remember Patrick Kisnorbo? Arrived as a centre midfielder and was awful. Moved to centre back and was a revelation. I think we're all too quick to jump on the back of players and say they're not good enough. Including loan signings we've now got a lot of players at this club, and perhaps instead of constantly looking for someone new, which simple upsets the balance a little, we should try to develop what we have. I'm not saying don't sign new players because we have a lot of weakenesses but sometimes working with the players you have to get the very best out of them is a better option. Case in point, I depserately don't want to see Fryatt leave.

Who's this 'we' you talk of?

The fans don't sign the players, play them out of position, state publicly they can be improved upon, declare they have millions to spend on new players or bring in loanees with a view to buying. Is it any wonder the fans expectations are raised, that their view of current players is altered, that they expect any player making a mistake to be immediately replaced.

If the club keep changing managers then it's inevitable they will want their own choice of players this leads to a squad full of disenfranchised players and loanees supported by frustrated, confused, impatient fans.

Leicester City fans see bewildering turnover of players

Friday, December 31, 2010, 09:30

They say a change is as good as rest. But you would get little rest keeping up with the changes at Leicester City over the last five months.

Remember the opening day of the season? Paulo Sousa's first game in charge as manager and a visit to Crystal Palace.

This was the club that had finished fifth in the Championship and missed out on the play-off final in a penalty competition.

Hopes were high. Already some players, such as Nolberto Solano, the on-loan Jay Spearing and the much-maligned Yann Kermorgant, had departed over the summer.

But the line-up still had a Nigel Pearson look to it. Chris Weale kept goal in front of a back-four of Robbie Neilson, Jack Hobbs, Michael Morrison and Bruno Berner.

Andy King, Lloyd Dyer, Matt Oakley and Dany N'Guessan occupied the middle ground with Matty Fryatt and DJ Campbell up-front.

The bench looked interesting – Richie Wellens plus academy lads Tom Parkes, Jorrin John and Liam Moore.

City lost 3-2 and it was a sign of the rocky road ahead for Sousa. Like all managers, he had his own ideas and his own preferences. Miguel Vitor had signed pre-season, Michael Lamey came in at right-back, Moreno in the centre of defence, Franck Moussa and Yuki Abe in midfield and there was a change between the sticks with Carl Ikeme getting his chance.

It was not good news for the likes of Neilson and Morrison, nor even player of the year Hobbs, who was left on the bench at one point.

But at least there was one piece of good news when Martyn Waghorn joined on a permanent deal from Sunderland.

A 4-3 defeat at Norwich at the end of September signaled the end of Sousa's reign. City were bottom of the table, having won just one of their nine games.

Welcome Sven-Goran Eriksson – and more changes. Sven became the loan ranger, hiring promising talent such as Curtis Davies, Kyle Naughton and Greg Cunningham.

Also arriving were Darius Vassell, Chris Kirkland and Roman Bednar. Not good news for the likes of Berner, Weale and Fryatt.

In all, City have fielded 29 different players so far this season, Tom Kennedy, Conrad Logan, Steve Howard and Paul Gallagher making up the number.

More changes can be expected during the January transfer window when City will inevitably reach 30-something.

And, by the way, whatever happened to Leon Crncic?

I feel sorry for starving kids in Africa, for helpless animals that face cruelty and death, for the poor and downtrodden souls that will never be in control of their lives, not for professional footballers who are well paid and, for a while at least, live in the lap of luxury. Note to Moreno: roll your sleeves up and get stuck in. To anyone feeling sorry for him, get a life.

I didn't think he was that bad, made one mistake against Reading that I can remember but other than that was ok, granted I didn't see Burnley away. I thought he looked pretty good on his debut against Middlesboro anyway, if Morrison is going to play like he did on Tuesday then Moreno would get his chance ahead him at Hull.

I feel very sorry for the lad...

ok I know hes not the best player and I dont see him fit in our plans :(

i saw him out side our ground when we played leeds, he was in LCFC tracksuit, and his family was there :/

I feel sorry for him because he came to England under Sousa, for the "dream", playing in England....he's brought his family over and brought a house, (possibly!) He isnt going to get that game under sven.....I'd be finding an exit if i was him....
