bigneville Posted 29 April 2011 Posted 29 April 2011 Good player at this level. Certainly would have no problems seeing him in our squad for next season. However, we are going to have to pay over the odds for him, and I think there may be better value players around for the fees that Bristol City are going to be wanting.
Spudulike Posted 29 April 2011 Posted 29 April 2011 Only got a year left on his contract and with Bristol losing money I wouldn't expect a fee any where close to 3m. Would be a good step up for the lad.
Guest Col city fan Posted 29 April 2011 Posted 29 April 2011 http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/news/Transfer-news-Nicky-Maynard-of-Bristol-City-wanted-by-Leicester-s-Sven-Goran-Eriksson-article729382.html Sven Goran Eriksson is preparing a £3million bid for Bristol City striker Nicky Maynard. Leicester boss Eriksson has earmarked Maynard as a top target this summer and will test the Robins' resolve with a firm offer. Eriksson has been assured of major funds by the Foxes board and wants the 24-year-old to spearhead his charge for the Premier League next season. Maynard only returned for the Robins in February after a long-term knee injury but has already scored six goals this season. Yes please

Spudulike Posted 29 April 2011 Posted 29 April 2011 Racists and deluded, a sideways step? Oh dear. Nice to know that we live in " that illegal immigrant infested dump".
Fox92 Posted 29 April 2011 Posted 29 April 2011 I'd have Nicky Maynard at the club. I've liked him for some time, he is a natural goalscorer.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 29 April 2011 Posted 29 April 2011 Looks good at this level, though I'd worry about another injury again.
Guest shearfox Posted 29 April 2011 Posted 29 April 2011 Hope we land him, he is exactly the kind of player we should be getting if we want to be fighting for promotion next season.
Wymsey Posted 29 April 2011 Posted 29 April 2011 He deserves to be at a better and bigger club than them, I welcome here him as well.
Itsthejoeker Posted 29 April 2011 Posted 29 April 2011 Nice to know that we live in " that illegal immigrant infested dump". Bristol's full of illegal somalians...
lcfc22 Posted 29 April 2011 Posted 29 April 2011 Get Maynard and Westwood from the paper rumours and we would be in and around the play offs in a flash.
Foxybeaver Posted 29 April 2011 Posted 29 April 2011 Haha Bristol City fans are idiots, it would be good to get him just to laugh in their faces
bcfc_fan Posted 29 April 2011 Posted 29 April 2011 i've given up with our forum, i wouldn't pay too much attention to whats on there, its mostly kids off school and teenagers. i'll say it again though, he'll go for nothing less than £4 million
LCFC2007 Posted 29 April 2011 Posted 29 April 2011 yess!! quality striker aslong as he stays fit. gona be a busy and exciting summer for all us leicester fans!
millzi Posted 29 April 2011 Posted 29 April 2011 This is what the Bristol City fans think http://www.otib.co.uk/index.php?/topic/135971-leicester-to-make-bid-for-nicky-maynard/ Oh dear! Some of their fans talk utter shite!! A sideways, downwards step!? Someone remind me where they are this season compared to us where they finished last season, and a little bit of history!? Nice to see one of them that was being realistic and admitting we are a bigger club with rich owners, a great manager and better fans.
ScouseFox Posted 29 April 2011 Posted 29 April 2011 Ahh someone to replace Fryatt. Du, du, du, du, Nicky Maynard.
Walshy5 Posted 29 April 2011 Posted 29 April 2011 Like him but i think 3M is a bit of a gamble for someone who,s just come back from a long spell out with injury. Id take it with a pinch of salt anyway. We,re going to be linked with almost everyone this summer due to the cash we have. We,ve been linked with loads already ie, M king, Westwood, Heskey, Kebe, Given. But we all know sven will go for Prem youth on loan!
acooling08 Posted 29 April 2011 Posted 29 April 2011 Even a lucrative bid wouldn't tempt him to that illegal immigrant infested dump.
Bert Posted 29 April 2011 Posted 29 April 2011 "a slightly downwards sideways move". . We're a lot more of an attractive club than Bristol City. If we have a bid accepted for him, I'd be pretty confident of him signing.
zubi Posted 29 April 2011 Posted 29 April 2011 Anyone fancy trolling on there? Perhaps we should litter this on BCFC fan forums
